The relativism of Sta. Cruz Church

I have already posted about this yearly abuse of Sta. Cruz Church, an abuse meant to accommodate the pagan feast of the Chinese New Year.

Now I can say that this is not a liturgical abuse but a clear manifestation of the relativism of the priests of the Sta. Cruz Church.

What is relativism?

St. John Paul II discussed it in Evangelium Vitae:
Freedom negates and destroys itself, and becomes a factor leading to the destruction of others, when it no longer recognizes and respects its essential link with the truth. When freedom, out of a desire to emancipate itself from all forms of tradition and authority, shuts out even the most obvious evidence of an objective and universal truth, which is the foundation of personal and social life, then the person ends up by no longer taking as the sole and indisputable point of reference for his own choices the truth about good and evil, but only his subjective and changeable opinion or, indeed, his selfish interest and whim.

Pope Benedict XVI also referenced relativism in his homily prior to the 2005 conclave that elected him pope:
How many winds of doctrine we have known in recent decades, how many ideological currents, how many ways of thinking. The small boat of thought of many Christians has often been tossed about by these waves – thrown from one extreme to the other: from Marxism to liberalism, even to libertinism; from collectivism to radical individualism; from atheism to a vague religious mysticism; from agnosticism to syncretism, and so forth. Every day new sects are created and what Saint Paul says about human trickery comes true, with cunning which tries to draw those into error (cf Ephesians 4, 14). Having a clear Faith, based on the Creed of the Church, is often labeled today as a fundamentalism. Whereas, relativism, which is letting oneself be tossed and "swept along by every wind of teaching", looks like the only attitude acceptable to today's standards. We are moving towards a dictatorship of relativism which does not recognize anything as certain and which has as its highest goal one's own ego and one's own desires. However, we have a different goal: the Son of God, true man. He is the measure of true humanism. Being an "Adult" means having a faith which does not follow the waves of today's fashions or the latest novelties. A faith which is deeply rooted in friendship with Christ is adult and mature. It is this friendship which opens us up to all that is good and gives us the knowledge to judge true from false, and deceit from truth.

From these we can draw that relativism is based on the following:
1. There is no objective and revealed truth.
2. Truth is based on one's experience.
3. One's ego makes the judge of all things.  This ego is mistakenly or maliciously called as "conscience"

This ego centric approach to revealed truth as handed down by the Church becomes so relative, a mere lay person or priest becomes the arbiter of what is good and bad for the Faith even though things such as paganism and geomancy become ways of "being a welcoming Church".

This is how the Blessed Sacrament Fathers of Sta, Cruz Church have acted these past celebrations of Chinese New Year.

You will see in the photos below.

Chinese Good Luck lanterns greet the pilgrims

Huge Chinese New Year banners opposite the Year of Mercy banners

And for the coup de grace, Good Luck signs all around the church.

I have already discussed this STUPIDITY in this previous post.  Click this link.

I have heard about how accommodating the SSS Fathers as long as the price is...

"Mr. Bob Barker finish my sentence"!!!

A friend priest once told me "TPC, you think these priests would toy with these things if money was not involved?"

Imagine what they will choose when shown so much fame, power and money...

Meanwhile...

Because you need guys in lion costumes to drive the evil spirit away in a Catholic church.

Yeah, instead of an exorcist.

Was the lion dance a part of the Mass?  I don't know.  The GULP policeman did not mention it.

So what's wrong?

We are scandalized.

Why inside the church?  Why not outside?

So what's wrong inside the church?

Because pagan matters have no business being inside a Catholic church unless they are about to be exorcized.

And the bishop should have used this as a teaching moment.

PS:  Was the LITURGICAL COLOR of THAT day RED???

A heretic is behind the IEC 2016 FB Page

Or just plain dumb and stupid?

***

Frequently Asked Question: Is the Congress only for Catholics?

Answer: Although organized by the Roman Catholic Church, the IEC is open to all Christians and people of goodwill. In the light of ecumenism espoused by Vatican II, the challenge for us is to deepen fraternal bonds and mutual faith in Jesus Christ, despite theological and doctrinal differences among religions.

***

So let's answer this one by one, ok?

There is a pontifical committee specially created for the International Eucharistic Congress, and its purpose and mission gives us a look at what a Eucharistic Congress is all about.

The purpose of this Committee consists “to make ever better known, loved and served, Our Lord Jesus Christ in his Eucharistic Mystery, as centre of the life of the Church and of its mission for the salvation of the world” through the celebration of International Eucharistic Congresses (Cf. Statutes, Art. 2 and 3 a).
So Eucharistic Congresses are meant to make the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament better known, loved and served.

How will it deepen fraternal bonds with religion who firstly, don't believe in the Bible, secondly, don't believe that Jesus Christ is God-Man, and thirdly, don't give a rat's @$$ about this Congress and it's purpose?!

Can someone from the organizing committee of the IEC in Cebu answer this?!

This political correctness is eating up even the Church to the point we can barely see anymore if this is indeed the Church that our Lord gave us.

This false Spirit of Vatican II, this false reading of ecumenism is all to blame.  Ecumenism as espoused by Vatican II is aimed "that they may be one", to bring all to the one fold with Christ the Good Shepherd.  The ecumenism espoused by LST and MST is "all religions are equal" is what FREEMASONRY wants is all to believe in!

So where are the DEFENDERS of the Faith huh? Especially that loud proud obnoxious one?  Can they not debunk this heresy of the guy behind the IEC 2016 FB Page?

Hello???

http://luchins.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/skeleton-cobwebs-waiting.jpg

Gregorian Chant? What is that?!

There was once a Synod of Bishops that recommended to the pope something about Gregorian chant...

The pope came out with an Apostolic Exhortation and in it he said:

"Finally, while respecting various styles and different and highly praiseworthy traditions, I desire, in accordance with the request advanced by the Synod Fathers, that Gregorian chant be suitably esteemed and employed as the chant proper to the Roman liturgy."

Issued in 2007....back to the present....have you heard Gregorian Chant in your church, chapel or oratory lately?

The Synod of Bishops this coming October is already being seen as a "dissent fest" of epic proportions.

Only thing I could think of is to do what most modernist bishop and priest did in 2007.

IGNORE.

And for faithful Catholics who are now scandalized by the open and brazen declaration of heresy of cardinals, bishops, priests and nuns, I stay...

IGNORE THEM!

Stop donating to their causes!

It's time for faithful Catholics to support ONLY faithful cardinals, bishops and priests!

These "C"atholics do not deserve to be supported.

Pray for them and stop giving your donations to them!

Catholic cleric "giddy" for same sex "marriage"?

Is the debate on same-sex "marriage" encouraging a lot of clerics these days to finally come out of the closet?

Hmmm....

Let's take a look at this piece of the Union of Catholic Asian News Editor Fr. William Grimm about the legalization of same sex "marriage" in "Catholic" Ireland.

***

Voters in Ireland have made that country the first to recognize same-sex marriage by a national referendum. Various other countries have granted the same recognition through legislation. [This priest will now tell you that the numbers matter for dogma and morals.]

A New York Times column by Frank Bruni titled "On same-sex marriage, Catholics are leading the way" pointed out, "In fact, countries with a Catholic majority or plurality make up half of those where two men or two women can now wed or will soon be able to."

In other countries like the United States where Catholics are a large part of the population, polls show that Catholics as a group are more open to same-sex marriage than their non-Catholic neighbors.

And yet, in all these countries, the Catholic hierarchy has strongly opposed moves to recognize such partnerships, while the laity have declined to follow their bishops.

Are we seeing the collapse of the Catholic Church? [Is this priest wishing it to happen?  Weird for someone to even think this will happen.  Ha!  Not even Hitler was able to accomplish it and he think sodomites and adulterers can accomplish it.]

If the bishops are the Church, [no they are not.  The bishops don't even say so.  But they are our shepherds and teachers. Get that!] then perhaps we are. But, if the Church is, in fact, the People of God, then we may be seeing the Church affirming something its leaders need to re-examine. [So if the majority decides to legalize murder....you know where this is heading.]

It would not be the first time. Blessed Cardinal John Henry Newman pointed out that historically, when many bishops of the fourth century were in heresy over Arianism, it was the laity that kept the faith. The moral of that story for him was that it is essential to recognize that the laity are, along with Scripture, liturgy, the hierarchy and theologians, a valid authority in the Church. [Now this man here is either knows the real score about the comments of the Blessed cardinal or he is really oblivious about what the cardinal really meant. See my discussion below.]

Rather than the collapse of the Catholic Church, might we be living through a period when the hierarchy must defer to the experience, insight and faith of the mass of Catholics? After all, they, more than celibate clerics, have a clear idea of what might or might not threaten marriage. [Same reasoning we all heard about married life from the Episcopalians and Anglicans! Celibates can talk about the family and married life since they are not married.  If that were true, were did the priests come from?  Did they spring out of the ground?  Did a stork deliver them to the doors of the seminary?  They are humans right?  And they were born to a human family.  Is experience needed in order for a person to speak authoritatively about it?  Does a doctor specializing in cancer (an oncologist) need to be sick with cancer before he can practice his profession?  Does a priest need to have a wife before he can talk about keeping the a married couple's marriage holy?]

The Catholic bishops of Japan may be attuned to this. [Look at the number of Catholics in Japan! No, rather, look at the number of people believing in a deity in Japan!]

The mayor of Tokyo’s Shibuya Ward has announced that around the end of October the ward will begin issuing certificates recognizing same-sex partnerships. This follows the ward assembly’s passage last March of an ordinance that recognizes such partnerships as "equivalent to marriage". Other jurisdictions throughout Japan are expected to enact similar ordinances.

The Japanese bishops’ report for the next session of the Synod for the Family in October refers to the Shibuya ordinance and says, "Even though the Church cannot recognize same-sex marriages, there is no way that we can assume that a sexual orientation not chosen by someone is cause for their rejection by God."  [So the bishops of Japan are for same sex "marriage"?  So whatever happened to Fr. Grimm's hierarchy-laity dichotomy?  What would happen if the laity came out with a manifesto not supporting the sodomite union?]

In Ireland and elsewhere Catholics speak much as the Japanese do. They favor legalizing same-sex unions precisely because of what they have learned from the Church about the dignity of all people and caring for the marginalized. The starting point is the love of God that does not punish people for being who they are. [Man.  The Church has already taught us in the Catechism about this.  Here in the Philippines, the CBCP just came out with  another directive.  Nothing new.  It's just teaching what has been since the beginning.]

At the first session of the Synod last October, Ron and Mavis Pirola, a Catholic couple from Australia, addressed the meeting:

"Friends of ours were planning their Christmas family gathering when their gay son said he wanted to bring his partner home too. They fully believed in the Church’s teachings and they knew their grandchildren would see them welcome the son and his partner into the family. Their response could be summed up in three [sic] words, ‘He is our son.’” [Are we questioning the DNA of the son, or is the Church questioning the morality of the relationship?]

"What a model of evangelization for parishes as they respond to similar situations in their neighborhood! It is a practical example of what the Instrumentum laboris [working paper for the Synod] says concerning the Church’s teaching role and its main mission to let the world know of God’s love." [God's love does not mean we tolerate evil. Sodomy is evil. In fact, a city got burned because of that. God's love does not spoil.  That is why God is called Father because He is a parent like me. Unlike Fr. Grimm who is celibate......Ha!]

The laity are challenging the leaders of the Church to find ways to affirm the sacramentality of matrimony [affirm? Follow Jesus!] while recognizing that marriage is a broader and more varied reality with legal, social, cultural and anthropological aspects that may differ from the practice of the Church. [Modernism alert folks!  This is how modernist heretics work. They want you to accept that dogma and doctrine and morals need to keep up with the times. Truth needs to be updated and made relevant.  Heresy is written all over it.  How? Let's use his logic.  If we go to a society where being married to an animal, or a sibling, or an inanimate object has become the "varied reality with legal, social, cultural and anthropological aspects that may differ from the practice of the Church", this priest, this so called Roman Catholic priest, this so called Priest of Jesus Christ, wants you to accept that we need to change what JESUS CHRIST himself has taught that marriage is between a man and a woman and that what God has joined together, no man can separate.  This priest is teaching another Gospel.]

Sacramentality is not threatened by same-sex marriages. The sacrament of matrimony remains something for the Church to administer according to its understanding of that type of marriage called sacramental. [Ughm....marriage is a sacrament and not a sacramental.  Does this priest really know his religion?]

And after all, homosexuals are only about five percent of the population. It is ridiculous to claim, as the Vatican secretary of state Cardinal Pietro Parolin did, that because some of that five percent can have legally recognized relationships it is "a defeat for humanity".  [Yeah.  Five percent is exerting pressure to the rest of the 95% of the world.  How could it not be a defeat for humanity?]

The Japanese bishops are calmer, kinder and more correct in saying, "At the least, the Church should convey the message that households that have been set up by men and women with a homosexual orientation are also blessed by God."  [How?  Sodomy is blessed?  Ugh!]

***

Now let me quote Blessed John Henry Newman about the role of the laity during the Arian heresy:

"Here, of course, I must explain: -- in saying this, then, undoubtedly I am not denying that the great body of the Bishops were in their internal belief orthodox; nor that there were numbers of clergy who stood by the laity, and acted as their centres and guides; nor that the laity actually received their faith, in the first instance, from the Bishops and clergy; nor that some portions of the laity were ignorant, and other portions at length corrupted by the Arian teachers, who got possession of the sees and ordained an heretical clergy; -- but I mean still, that in that time of immense confusion the divine dogma of our Lord's divinity was proclaimed, enforced, maintained, and (humanly speaking) preserved, far more by the 'Ecclesia docta' than by the 'Ecclesia docens;' that the body of the episcopate was unfaithful to its commission, while the body of the laity was faithful to its baptism; that at one time the Pope, at other times the patriarchal, metropolitan, and other great sees, at other times general councils, said what they should not have said, or did what obscured and compromised revealed truth; while, on the other hand, it was the Christian people who, under Providence, were the ecclesiastical strength of Athanasius, Hilary, Eusebius of Vercellae, and other great solitary confessors, who would have failed without them.  I see, then, in the Arian history a palmary example of a state of the Church, during which, in order to know the tradition of the Apostles, we must have recourse to the faithful...." [my emphasis]
From "On Consulting the Faithful in Matters of Doctrine"

From this quotation we can clearly see that Blessed Newman did not refer to the laity as "authority" like how this priest was implying.  Rather, it was through the support of the laity to the guardians of orthodoxy led by St. Athanasius that the Arian heresy saw its doom.

We are of the same situation right now.

It is the few brave cardinals, bishops, priests and religious who need the support of the laity to stand up against a few hijackers of the Synod of the Family.

It is not even an ecumenical council!  It is a synod, a consultation.  And they want to redefine what the Church has taught ever since it was founded by her Divine Founder.

This is what Fr. Grimm says "varied reality with legal, social, cultural and anthropological aspects that may differ from the practice of the Church".  This is what modernist heretics say as the updating of dogma and "keeping up with the times."

The sad news today is that we see the wolves inside the pen with the sheep.  They are not anymore in sheepskin. They have shed the pretenses and proudly proclaimed that they call themselves Catholic but profess a faith different from those that came from the Apostles.

The best way to combat these wolves are:

1.  Prayer - for their conversion or if they are obstinate, for God's mercy and justice to befell on them.
2.  Boycott - do not support their endeavors. Don't visit their websites, don't donate to their causes.
3.  Expose - share to the whole world who these men and women are so we others will stay away from them.

PS:  Makes you realize that we really have a lot of active homosexuals in the clergy no?  Right Fr. Grimm?

Catholic University does the unthinkable

All to raise money.

This was how these graduates of De la Salle University define having "fun for a worthy cause"

This is the sad state of our "Catholic" universities in the country today, all in the name of "tolerance' and "enlightenment".  Keeping ourselves very open made us people who are so numb to anything bad, evil and immoral.

We have become a laughing stock of secular and non-Catholic universities.

And to their defense comes the head of the De la Salle Alumni Association Services head Bing Capunot who said "I understand that [the public] only saw the photo, but if [they] experienced what happened during the homecoming, [they will realize] it was really just a short portion.".  You can read most of the dumb PR stunt response in this page.

Is this the kind of morality that the La Salle Brothers teach their students?  That public indecent exposure is "OK" if it is just for a "short portion"?

So, logically, we can have these kinds of shows in every Catholic institution of the country for as long as it is just for a "short portion".

We certainly hope that the Brothers will speak out against this kind of stunt.

There are so many ways to raise money for charity.

The "short portion" is unbecoming for a Catholic institution to host!  Admit it, say sorry and stop being a spoiled YELLOW BRAT!

Money for a worthy cause for any means necessary?

Yeah, like what this guy did.

Catholic archbishop declares: Jesus was a layman!

A supposedly Roman Catholic archbishop actually said that and his statement was even published in the website of the archdiocese

Yes, you read that right.

Salzburg archbishop Franz Lackner, (pictured right) said the future of the Church will include fewer priests, but that "the laity can take on important and responsible positions in the Church." These tasks should not belittle you, Lackner said. "We have forgotten that Jesus was a layman."

He actully that Jesus was always mentioned as the Eternal High Priest in Hebrews 6:20.

So, if Jesus was a layman, he couldn't have ordained the Apostles who ordained other bishops, who then ordained other men, and then the bishop who ordained Lackner priest and the bishops who consecrated him bishop are all.....*gasp*.....laymen!

So that means, Lackner is a LAYMAN!

Even Martin Luther would get mad at this guy.

Modernism for you people.

There you have it.

The elephant in the room.  We all can see it.

Nah....that picture below is but a remnant of a pre-Vatican II past.

Too archaic for that archbishop, or should I say archlayman?

Vatican II was meant to be vague!

"In many places, [the Council Fathers] had to find compromise formulas, in which, often, the positions of the majority are located immediately next to those of the minority, designed to delimit them. Thus, the conciliar texts themselves have a huge potential for conflict, open the door to a selective reception in either direction." (Cardinal Walter Kasper,  L'Osservatore Romano, April 12, 2013)

***

Catholic blogosphere is abuzz with this stunning admission of one of the world' most liberal Catholic cardinals!

Apologists of the Spirit of Vatican II would now be scampering for the defense of their MEGA Council, the Mother of All Councils, to try to find a way to say something nice in the defense of Vatican II.

I suggest you read this post here and here to get a good picture of the chaos behind the drafting of the Conciliar documents.

Pope Francis to sisters: Get back on track

Vatican City, May 8, 2013 / 10:01 am (CNA/EWTN News).- Pope Francis told leaders of women’s religious orders today that their vocations can only be recognized within the fold of the Church.

Your vocation is a fundamental charism for the Church's journey and it isn't possible that a consecrated woman or man might 'feel' themselves not to be with the Church,” he told around 800 female superiors general on May 8. [ In other words, "You better tow the line!"  Ha!  Serves them right!]

The International Union of Superiors General has been meeting for its general assembly in Rome since May 3.

Present this year were more than 150 American sisters, some of whom also belong to the Leadership Conference of Women Religious, which has had a strained relationship with the Vatican since it was required in April 2012 to undergo reform.

Bishop Leonard Blaire of Toledo carried out a four-year review and found “serious doctrinal problems” and the need for the LCWR to undergo renewal.

The assessment of the leadership conference expressed concern over “certain radical feminist themes incompatible with the Catholic faith” that were in some presentations sponsored by the conference. [Like pressing for women's ordination, support of contraception and situational abortion, support for homosexual unions...]

One such address discussed religious sisters “moving beyond the Church” and beyond Jesus.

In addition to highlighting the need for the organization to provide adequate doctrinal formation for its members, the report also voiced concern over letters from LCWR officers suggesting “corporate dissent” from Church teaching on topics such as the sacramental male priesthood and homosexuality.

Pope Francis seemed to address this history during today’s meeting. He told the sisters about the “‘feeling’ of being with the Church,” given to them through baptism.

It is a “feeling,” he said, “that finds its filial expression in fidelity to the Magisterium, in communion with the pastors and Successor of Peter, Bishop of Rome, visible sign of that unity.”  [Oooooo....the old male dude telling the sweet old sisters what to do.  Another medieval stick of fear and violence eh?]

To be otherwise, he said, would be against their vocation.

It is an absurd dichotomy to think of living with Jesus but without the Church, of following Jesus outside of the Church, of loving Jesus without loving the Church,” he stated.

“Feel the responsibility that you have of caring for the formation of your institutes in sound Church doctrine, in love of the Church, and in an ecclesial spirit,” Pope Francis added.

The Vatican’s doctrine department put Archbishop J. Peter Sartain of Seattle in charge of working with the sisters to reform the organization for a period of up to five years.

On May 5, Cardinal João Braz de Aviz, who heads the Vatican’s Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, made waves when he told the sisters gathered in Rome that he was not consulted about the doctrine department’s decision on reforming the LCWR.

His words drew a rare May 7 statement from the doctrine office, which aimed to dismiss the idea of a “divergence” between the doctrine and religious congregations.  [Get that cardinal back in line too!]

***

These sisters will never admit to their mistakes because all these divergence and radical dissent are for them their "response to the call of the times", the "promptings of the Holy Spirit" upon them.  These sisters think that they are the new Joan of Arc or Catherine of Siena or Teresa of Avila who would usher in the change, the breath of fresh air that Vatican II so promised when the "Good" John XXIII opened the windows of the Church and let in fresh air but which Paul VI lamentably alluded "the smoke of Satan"...

These sisters think that by changing the Faith to suit the needs of the times, the whims of the devilish society who thinks not of God but against God, these sisters think that they are answering the call of God.  They think that they are renewing the Church.

In fact, they are starting a revolution, a complete change of how the Church believes in for thousands of years.

Pope Francis reminded them to stay into the fold and in that One Fold, there the deposit of the Faith resides, there the True Faith is, because it is in the One Fold where the True Shepherd, Jesus, the Truth is.

This sisters try to bring in things from the outside with hopes of changing what is inside the fold.

If they want something from the outside, then let them stay outside.  Why do they keep on insisting to bring in things that are not of the Church of Christ (Shoo!!!  Bug of Iglesia ni Manalo!)

Like what I had been blogging about for so many years...

If you want to be like the Anglicans in terms of contraception, homosexual marriage, women's ordination... then join them!

STOP HOPING THAT IT WILL EVER HAPPEN IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH!

Period.

Oh boy....This is waaaayyyy too much.

Radical Feminism doesn't deserve understanding

Radical Feminists and the LGBT Movement preach Tolerance and Acceptance by being intolerant and disrespectful of other people's rights and beliefs.

Tolerance.

Sadly, this is the kind of "tolerance" modernist theological schools preach, like MST, SVST, Euntes.

When do we get an Apostolic Visitation, huh?

It's the cassock!

After a few straight posts about how some priests dress up for work and how they behave in public, I have here an interesting article from the Vatican Insider about the Holy See's move to, ehem, "force" priests to wear their cassocks.

Of course, this came from Andrea Tornielli.

Hey, Teletubbie!  Sit down!

You're not a priest so stop wearing that cassock and collar!

Ugh!

***

It’s the dress that makes the monk. A least in the Vatican. Last 15 October, the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, signed a circular letter sent to all offices in the Roman Curia, to stress the need for priests and clerics to turn up at work wearing traditional clerical garb, that is the dog collar and black cassock. On formal occasions, for example when the Pope is present, monsignors will no longer be able to let their robe with the red buttons and purple fascia gather dust. [Before Paul VI's reforms on the clerical garb stated in his Motu propio 'Pontificalis Domus'  , everyone was very strict about what to wear.  Everyone knows what to follow.  After Vatican II, it's all up to you.  It's all about "Pastoral reasons", it's all about "Nah. The people don't need that." So you see priests not wearing the cassock and clerical collar, spending more time in malls and other places that they should not be found in the first place.  They use "Pastoral Reasons" so they can do their you know, THING.............Not you Teletubbie!]

This was to refresh clerics’ minds about the canonical laws which give out a clear signal and the importance of respecting these extends beyond the walls of the Holy See: [the order is not just for Rome!] it is very rare for priests in the Apostolic Palace not to dress like priests. The call for priests to be more law-abiding and look impeccable is meant to be a subtle example for those who come to the Vatican from outside and are just passing through Rome.  [I hope this is emulated throughout the Catholic world!]

The Code of Canon Law states that “clerics must wear decorous ecclesiastical vestments” in line with the laws that bind the various bishops’ conferences. [Episcopal Conferences, ehem.] The Italian Episcopal Conference (CEI) established that “the clergy has to wear a cassock or dog collar,” meaning black or grey vestments and a white dog collar. The dog collar was originally a Protestant garment; Catholic clergymen initially adopted it to make life easier for clerics when they had to travel. [here in the Philippines, the CBCP legislated that priests wear either their religious habit, the clerical collar or a barong of only one color with a cross hanging on the priest's neck.  Well, most priests don't do either of these.]

In 1994, the Vatican Congregation for the clergy explained the reasons - sociological ones as well - behind Catholic priests’ vestments: “In a secularised and essentially materialistic society” there is a strong need for the community to be able to recognise the presbyter, who is a man of God and deliverer of his mysteries, the circular stated.  [Well, obviously some priests don't think their job is of the supernatural and that they would rather mix with the people and feel they need to belong.  They say that Jesus dressed like ordinary people back in the days and he hated the long robes of the Pharisees.  So they are following the example of Jesus.  Really?  Jesus hated the long robes?  Or Jesus hated the Pharisees for using the robes to draw attention to themselves rather than what the truth and beauty of Judaism?  Does Liberation Theology ring a bell with you folks?  These priests use this excuse so they can become incognito and do whatever they want in whatever place.  It goes beyond being simple.  Trust me.  I met a lot of them.  I am not saying all priests who wear secular clothes do these, but a LOT do!]

Bertone’s letter asks monsignors to wear the cassock with the red buttons at “events where the Holy Father is present” and on other official occasions. In one of his audiences, the Pope also urged bishops to start paying extra close attention to etiquette.

In the past, the clergy wore civilian clothes only in certain contexts, for example in Turkey in the 40’s and recently in Mexico, with bishops used to dressing as managers. Soon, the habit took root in Europe: how can one forget the image of Joseph Ratzinger in a suit and dark tie during the Council years. But after the Second Vatican Council, the cassock ended up in a box in the loft and priests started to make less of an effort to stand out. But for some years now, there has been a significant countertrend, among young priests in particular. A “clerical” turning point which the Secretary of State has now put down in black and white in its circular.

***

In a highly secularized world, we need more people to witness to the supernatural.  That we are made up of body and soul.

The evil of secularism, the offspring of Modernism is eating up the world. And it has infected the Church.

To our dear priests, wear the cassock, or your clerical tab!

To religious, wear your habit!

To laymen, wear the crucifix, scapular or medal!

Keep Catholic on!

Oh brother................

Why the living is called "Church Militant"

We continue to fight for our salvation!

We defend ourselves from the attacks of the lies of Satan and his minions!

We continue to teach, preach and witness to the teachings of Christ which Peter and his Successor, the Vicar of Christ on Earth, the Pope, together with the bishops, priests, deacons and religious who are in communion with him who teach the same Faith we all received from the Apostles.

That is why we care called CHURCH MILITANT.

And funny how some Filipino Jesuits and theologians at Maryhill School of Theology scoff at this term. Why? Because just like the quack theologian who faked her title Miriam Defensor Santiago said "Vatican II changed all of that!"

Oh, let's call them for what they are.

MODERNISTS!

Make up your mind!

I think they already have!

It is not really about the Catholic Church.

It is about the Catholic Church's stand on issues of morality.

"Oh yeah right! That is why you have child molesters...."

Yeah, I know they would bring that up.

As if the Catholic Church has a monopoly on erring clerics.

Most child molesters in the USA alone are not even clerics.  Most happen either in their own homes or in schools.

There have been cases where Protestant and even Muslim clerics were convicted of either rape or molestation.

So, no, try harder.  The child molester card won't trump me.

Admit it.

You don't want others to tell you that what you are doing is wrong.

Right, Carlos Celdran?

Because queering, which is your way of life, will never ever work.

And it is not about the RH Bill per se.

You just hate it when the Catholic Church tells your lot that what you are doing is wrong and EVIL.

And that you are going to hell if you do not change your ways.

Typical reaction of Modernists to follow.......

"Are you sure there is even a Hell?"

That is why I still maintain that RH and the growing dissident Catholic politicians like in the Philippines (Lagman, Defensor-Santiago) and abroad (Pelosi, et al.) is because they were TAUGHT so by their modernist priests and theologians.  And the bishops of their dioceses know for a fact that this is happening and that they did not care at all.

Simply put.

The thief will come into the night........if the night watchman is caught sleeping on the job.

What we are having now is a reflection of the failure of the bishops to do their job.

It is not too late.  We can still fix this.

Just kick them out, the liberal theologians too.  Don't forget Bernal.

Done.  Simple isn't it?

And they went out to crucify him...

St. Vincent School of Theology Chapel
Crucified without a cross?

It is called crucifixion because you nail the condemned person to a cross until he dies.

So where is the cross?

Are these people so blood-thirsty they just nailed HIM to a wall?

Funny how Evangelicals hate having a corpus for their crucifix...

....while these Modernist priests called Vincentians of SVST hate the cross.

For as St. Paul says:

"For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." (1Cor 1:18)

PS:

Have you noticed the altar?

Here is the close-up.

Looks like it either came from the workshop of the Green Lantern or is an overgrowth from the Fortress of Solitude

Anything but traditional!

I am pretty sure this was not consecrated.

The Vincentians don't care!

Another disgraceful thing that my fellow Knights did!

Are all religions equal?

Is Buddha, Mohammed, Vishu and all the other gods of other religions an expression of the One True God we Catholics worship and adore?

For a fan of Feng Shui Bishop Jaucian, Christ is!

Yup!

Heresy alert.

Go on over that old post of mine condemning the statement of Bishop Jaucian which goes like this:

“God is present in other religion and culture so the belief in Feng Shui, Astrology, and praying at Buddhist temples should be perceived as instruments that all draws us closer to God."

Views like this are products of MODERNISM being taught in our theology schools and seminaries.  Yes, even bishops preach it!

And go answer that die-hard fan that he too is a HERETIC in his views.

In the meantime, watch this and learn:

In addition to this, read DOMINUS IESUS.

Cool!

One of the coolest vocation photos I have seen!

You won't attract young men and women to join your society or congregation if you are wearing secular clothes...

And you keep on talking about Modernist rubbish!

Yeah, yeah...some would say that there are nuns and priest who wear the habit and still spread modernist filth.

Well, that is the task that we the laity should do.

Video, record, upload, report!

That's the way to do it.

As I have been hearing, this one priest will definitely be on his way to losing his license to teach Theology with his continued advocacy for married priest, contraception, selective abortion, etc.

Oh, it's true!

It's definitely true!

BREAKING NEWS: Stalemate!

The re-unification of the SSPX with the Catholic Church has come to a grounding halt.

from Andrea Tornielli

***

In his homily for the priestly ordinations in the Swiss town of Ecône, the Superior of the Society of St. Pius X confirmed that the Lefebvrians could not sign the Vatican’s doctrinal preamble.

He had not made any public statement during the meeting with Cardinal William Levada on 13 June, in the Vatican. But today, the Superior of the Society of St. Pius X, Bishop Bernard Fellay, confirmed that no agreement could be signed with the Holy See at the present time.

During this morning’s homily for the priestly ordinations celebrated in Ecône, Fellay also made some comments about the negotiations with Vatican leaders.

You can listen to the homily - which lasts approximately half an hour - by clicking on this link. The passage about the Society’s relations with Rome can be heard when the player gets to 21.50. “You rightly ask me how things are going with Rome.” The Lefebvrian superior said, before going on to add: “Things are currently at a standstill.”

“There has been a lot of back and forth, exchanges, letters and protests - Mgr. Fellay added – but we are back to square one.” The bishop recalled: “We said we could not accept, we could not sign; that is all.

This confirms the content of yesterday’s communiqué issued by the Lefebvrians after the meeting in the Vatican. They also hinted at the need for new clarifications and discussions. In his homily, Fellay also confirmed the opinion expressed in the letter sent by the Secretary General of the Society of St. Pius X to district superiors on 25 June, ahead of the next general chapter: the last version of the doctrinal preamble which was discussed by cardinals of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and approved by the Pope was defined as “unacceptable”.

***

I can only speculate who is working against the reunification...

Something happened during the sending of the draft from the CDF to the Pope then from the Pope to the CDF...

Imagine if Fellay were not elected superior general during the next SSPX chapter and the preamble hasn't been signed yet!

More prayers please!

The minions of the Evil One are against this!

Guess where they had been

The sisters posing after attending a seminar....

......about Pranic Healing!

Sooooo, Catholic!

Booyah!

If you have Catholic nuns like this spending more time learning to become more Hindu, then who needs a yogi to drive you away from the teachings of the Church?

Pranic healing heals you through cosmic energies called prana.  We, Catholic believe that we are healed by Grace, through the mercy and providence of the Almighty, not through the waving of hands, not through the channeling of good prana or chi.

God's grace of healing comes to us through his instruments, be it a sacred relic, like the helm of the Lord's garment (Mt. 9:20), the handkerchief of Peter (Acts 19:12), even the mere shadow of Peter can heal  (Acts 5:12-16)!

Pranic healing masks itself as channeling the healing power of the Holy Spirit since He is the source of all good energies.  This is baloney.  Pranic healing requires you to follow steps on which chakras or energy centers to "clean" and you also "wash" yourself of bad energy using salt and water (huh?  copying from Catholics?  hehe).

If indeed the Holy Spirit heals, why focus on each chakra?  Why not just go and touch!

So Pranic Healing and other New Age stuff that these "Catholic" nuns woould like to learn, most probably in order for them to become..."healers", like all those televangelists  you see and hear are.....as Fr. John Trigilio of EWTN calls it:  "NONSENSE!"

Hahaha!
