The hypocrisy of a liturgist

I received a very disturbing news about a parish whose monstrance containing the Blessed Sacrament got robbed on the eve of the parisH fiesta.

After learning of the theft, the parish priest who is a liturgist of the SchoOl of Chupungco, decided to hush hush the theft and went aLong with the parish fiesta. And he did celebrate the fiesta, going to from one house to another, partYing in the parish ground as if nothing sacrilegious happened.

This hypocrite oF a liturgist And a scandal of a priest did not even bother to stop whatever festivities they had in the parish in order to call for an Act of Reparation.  Keep in Mind, he must call for an act of reparation as soon as the theft was dIscovered.  He did not even bother to announce what happened to the Blessed Sacrament during the whoLe Sunday!  He just had to partY and get on with the fiesta celebration.

Guess which Diocese?

On the city over the hills.

Which parish?

Where the family whose father is a carpenter is.

Which District?

Ask Mar Roxas.

Shameful!  You are a disgrace!  And to think you brag about being one of the liturgists during the papal visit!

Shame on you!

If you can't be a good priest, then be a good layman!

Leave the priesthood you shameless cleric!

You'd put more emphasis on the fiesta than on the sacrilege that has happened to the Blessed Sacrament!

SHAME ON YOU!!!

GULP Alert: BIG TIME Eucharistic Abuse

This is just so wrong.  So wrong.

Time to pray this one:

Act of Reparation

O Jesus, my Savior and Redeemer, Son of the living God, behold, we kneel before Thee and offer Thee our reparation; we would make amends for all the blasphemies uttered against Thy holy name, for all the injuries done to Thee in the Blessed Sacrament, for all the irreverence shown toward Thine immaculate Virgin Mother, for all the calumnies and slanders spoken against Thy spouse, the holy Catholic and Roman Church. O Jesus, who hast said: "If you ask the Father anything in My name, He will give it to you", we pray and beseech Thee for all our brethren who are in danger of sin; shield them from every temptation to fall away from the true faith; save those who are even now standing on the brink of the abyss; to all of them give light and knowledge of the truth, courage and strength for the conflict with evil, perseverance in faith and active charity! For this do we pray, most merciful Jesus, in Thy name, unto God the Father, with whom Thou livest and reignest in the unity of the Holy Spirit world without end. Amen.

May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable,
most incomprehensible and ineffable Name of God
be forever praised, blessed, loved, adored
and glorified in Heaven, on earth,
and under the earth,
by all the creatures of God,
and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ,
in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.
Amen.

BRAZEN THEFT OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT!!!

Nah. His name is not Robby Okol.

Here is the transcript of the video

***

It was a brazen, and blasphemous crime. A Catholic community in northern New Mexico is beside itself after a man burst into the adoration chapel at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, and stole something very precious to them.

The priest at Sacred Heart told News 13 this is the highest form of desecration he's seen. He made a plea to the burglar Tuesday afternoon before police arrested the suspect.

It's meant for prayer, a place of peace, open 24/7. So, when a man walked into the adoration chapel at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española on Monday afternoon, the two people in there praying couldn't believe what he did.

"There is something so precious to us as Catholics that he has taken, and that is the Eucharist," explained Father Vitus Ezeiruaku, of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

The suspect police later identified as Isaac Morfin, made a b-line for the monstrance, which holds the Eucharist, then ran out the door, dropping part of it in the parking lot.

"We believe that Jesus is holy and entire in humanity and divinity, present in the holy Eucharist," explained Father Ezeiruaku. "So it means everything to us."

Detective  Solomon Romero of the Española Police Department said, ""We do believe that this individual may have been inside the chapel the day before, maybe looking at it or coming up with some sort of plan."

One worshiper followed the suspect around the corner, but the suspect got away.

Parishioners have had a hard time dealing with the crime.

"It is not just the Catholic Church alone, but this entire community, not just the parish alone, but the entire community, who see this as a place of refuge," explained Father Ezeiruaku.

"It's a small community, it's predominantly Catholic, it's extremely upsetting," added Detective Romero.

On Tuesday afternoon, police conducted a search warrant, and arrested 39-year-old Morfin for burglary and larceny.

"What he did is more than what he thinks, because he has touched the center of our belief, the center of our worship," said Ezeiruaku.

Before the arrest, the priest made a plea to the burglar.

"If he can find it in his heart to consider this community in pain and bring back what he has taken, I believe God's mercy follows him, and he will know the peace of God that he gives to those who say, Lord I am sorry."

Española police told News 13 late Tuesday afternoon the stolen monstrance and the Eucharist were recovered at Morfin's home. The monstrance suffered minor damage.

It's still unclear what the motive was for stealing it. Online court records show Morfin has a criminal record dating back more than a decade. The church had mass at 4 p.m. and a mass of atonement at 5:30 Tuesday. [That is done after a desecration had been done.  Before the liturgical revolt, public penance and atonement was REALLLY an act of penance and atonement for the entire parish.  But now.  Well....kumbaya!]

The Eucharist will be put back and the adoration chapel is still open.

See the wisdom why there were communion rails before?

And even though Vatican II did not mandate the destruction or removal of altar rails, they were removed for no apparent reason at all!  All in the name of modernity and the alleged spirit of Vatican II!

Again...contributing to the loss of the sense of the sacred.

I hope the church does something drastic to prevent this theft, life putting the monstrance behind iron grates or glass doors, etc.  This has been done here in some adoration chapels in the Philippines.

If this guy is a Catholic, then he must make to face a church tribunal for his crime.

But......will the OTHER guy who took home the Eucharist be disciplined by the Church?

Still waiting.

The Blessed Sacrament: if we only knew the great treasure we have

A new book by my favorite bishop on the Eucharist emphasizes the need to be aware of the great mystery and treasure we have right in front of us, in the tabernacle.  If we only knew, then we would behave properly.

***

Vatican City, Oct 8, 2013 / 04:39 am (CNA/EWTN News).- Bishop Athanasius Schneider has recently published his second book on Eucharistic devotion in the hopes that it will foster greater reverence for the sacrament amongst the faithful of his diocese.

It is necessary to give a good catechism on what the Eucharist is because we have to be aware of it. Jesus said to the Samaritan woman 'if you knew the gift of God,'” the bishop said in a Sept. 27 interview with CNA.  [I believe this to be so.  I can see why people have lost the awe and reverence to the Eucharist because of our pastors dismal failure to catechize the laity after the "new Pentecost" promised by the Council. Not!]

Bishop Schneider, whose most recent book “Corpus Christi - Holy Communion and the Renewal of the Church” was published earlier this year, is the auxiliary bishop of Kazakhstan in Central Asia – a country whose religious population is roughly seventy percent Muslim, and thirty percent Christian.

During the interview, the bishop expressed the great need to be more reverent in the way that the Eucharist is treated, explaining that the aim of both of his books is to increase respect of the Sacrament, especially amongst the faithful in his diocese.
Bishop Schneider distributing Holy Communion...the BEST WAY! (Photo courtesy of Orbis Catholicus Secundus)
If people only knew the greatness of the Eucharist. We have to stress its greatness in  homilies and in catechism,” he said.  [if priests only knew the great work they do...]

When I recognize all the richness and deepness and divinity of the Eucharist of the Lamb of God, before whom the angels prostrate themselves in heaven – as we read in the Apocalypse – then I also have this spontaneous, natural desire to prostrate myself when I receive Him. [FTW!!!!  But with that we instead do this...click here.]

The bishop voiced his perspective that the Eucharist ought to be received in the mouth only, explaining that the tradition of receiving the Host in one’s hand “never existed in the Church,” and was “was invented by Calvinists in the seventeenth century,” but was not present in the first centuries.  [Communion in the hand is an invention as a statement of disbelief and therefore of disrespect!]

There was communion received in the hand but in a totally different manner and I explain this in my second book (Corpus Christi).

Referencing the lack of true devotion present in the attitudes of many in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, Bishop Schneider urged that “only when we try to cure this wound of the Eucharist, only then we will have a real and stable renewal of the Church. A springtime.

***

The "super-dogma" Sacrosanctum Concilium called the Eucharist the "summit and source of christian life".

If that is so, then why we still have liturgical nonsense happening every Sunday and every Fiesta?

Why we still have the circus every Sunday live on TV?

I think we should all watch this.

Take note.

At the 13:56 mark, the great bishop called them "infidels".

So much for ecumenical mushy kumbaya politically correct language, no?

Ha!

And so since we are aware of the Sense of the Sacred, we have this at our Sunday Mass, regularly.

Hit it Fr. Mario!

Check out the batallion of EMHCs.

And the regular Sunday Tambourine Dancers.

Classy!

WE HAVE LOST RESPECT FOR THE HOLY OF HOLIES!

GULP Alert Update: What did they do after seeing the post?

Remember this?

Of course, our dear friends Robby Okol read about this and so did the two priests mentioned in the blog, Frs. Jek and Gener.

Everybody in the Archdiocese of Manila knows who those two priests are.

How did they react?

According to our deep penetrating GULP agents,  DEADMA.

Yup.  The two priests couldn't care less.  Why you ask?  Either they fully agreed with what Okol did and gave their permission to the staff of Fr. Diwa to take home the Blessed Sacrament for his own private exposition and adoration, or these two priests are just playing it by ear until someone files a petition against them either in the Archdiocese or in the Holy See.

As for Robby.

What is he doing?

Cleaning up his friends list in Facebook.

So that is now the protocol when you are caught doing some illegal and possible sacrilegious thing to the Blessed Sacrament.

Play possum and Unfriending.

They must have this guy as their adviser.

PS:  Which has the higher probability for the Blessed Sacrament to be snatched away like this for "private adoration"?

                a.  Communion in the Mouth
                b.  Communion in the Hand

Don't strain your brain.  You might look like Patrick Starr.

GULP Alert: WHY COMMUNION IN THE HAND MUST BE STOPPED!

This is a grave liturgical abuse!

In fact it is sacrilegious!

I'll let his status updates speak for themselves.

My bishop/priest friends who regularly read the blog would need to comment on this...badly!

For Non-English speakers, here is the gist...

1. He took home a consecrated host after being reminded of the two priest to take "Jesus home" using a white cloth presumably either a corporal or purificator.
2.  He kept it overnight at his home for his own vigil.
3.  No one knows what he did to Him afterwards.

Redemptionis Sacramentum states:
[132.] No one may carry the Most Holy Eucharist to his or her home, or to any other place contrary to the norm of law. It should also be borne in mind that removing or retaining the consecrated species for a sacrilegious purpose or casting them away are graviora delicta, the absolution of which is reserved to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith

Code of Canon Law:
Can.  935 No one is permitted to keep the Eucharist on one’s person or to carry it around, unless pastoral necessity urges it and the prescripts of the diocesan bishop are observed.
Can. 1367 A person who throws away the consecrated species or takes or retains them for a sacrilegious purpose incurs a latae sententiae excommunication reserved to the Apostolic See; moreover, a cleric can be punished with another penalty, not excluding dismissal from the clerical state.

Did he take the Host for sacrilegious purposes?  We don't know.  But this we do.  HE TOOK HIM HOME!

This is against Church law as I have stated here and he must be made aware of what he has done.

I advise him to go see the Cardinal Archbishop of Manila, if he really lives within the territorial jurisdiction of the Archdiocese.

Whoever Fr. Jek and Fr. Gener are...you two are also in a lot of trouble!

And you, Fr. Diwa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the perfect example why we need to STOP COMMUNION IN THE HAND!!!

It has created more problems and scandal for the Church!

If you are pastorally sensitive as you always put it in your documents Fr. Diwa, then in God's name, you are bound by the duties and responsibilities of the Sacrament of Holy Orders conferred upon you, to act against this sacrilege!

STOP COMMUNION IN THE HAND!

In the Vatican: Caught on tape

Look at how this priest refused communion in the hand to a woman attending the Pallium Mass at the Vatican.

Communion in the Tongue is still the only was to receive the Lord in papal masses.

Simple fact.

Communion in the MOUTH is the NORM.

Communion in the HAND is the EXCEPTION TO THE RULE.

This priest was courageous enough to implement Church laws in the reception of the Blessed Sacrament.

Will your priest even do the same?

What is the Best Way to Receive Our Lord?

On this feast of Corpus Christi, literally meaning the body of Christ, it is imperative that we once again talk about the topic of receiving communion by hand, which has caused not-so-few heated discussions among Catholics.

Communion rails: it's time our churches put them back!
Given that we have not committed any mortal sins prior to receiving the Lord, what is the best way to receive Holy Communion?

Is it by hand? Or straight to the tongue?

While we must emphasize that it is NOT a sin to receive communion by hand, when you talk about the best way to receive the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, for obvious reasons, you do not want to desecrate the host. Just before receiving communion, we want you to be conscious: where have your hands been since you last washed them?

That's the thing with receiving communion by hand:  people have no idea how dirty their hands are at any given time. A while ago at mass I saw this girl playing with her hair constantly during the mass, and she received communion through the hand. Now that's just hair. From the moment you last washed your hands, going to the mass, what are the things you touched that could be dirtier than you thought?

Let's see. If you left home, you're sure to open the door or the gate. Everybody touches door knobs, and so it's a source of dirt. Then you commuted to the church and held on to the railings of the jeepney. Another dirty place. Riding the jeep, you had to bring out coins. Dirty. In the mass, you bring out money again, this time for the offertory.

And then you receive communion by hand. Is this really the best way to receive the Lord?

We're not even talking about small particles sticking to sweaty palms, or under the nails. Worse, the desecration of the host happens when people are allowed to receive communion by hand. We know of people who do not receive communion, instead feeding the consecrated host to their chickens. These folks believe that doing so strengthens their chickens for the inevitable cock fight.

So I urge all Catholics - let us do away with this practice of communion by hand. As I said, apart from a clean heart, communion by tongue is the best - and actually preferred form - of receiving communion.

More on this from Cardinal Arinze.

How visious anti-Catholics REALLY ARE.

The photo says it all!

From UCANEWS.com

***

Cheju diocese has demanded an official apology after about 20 riot police disrupted a Mass yesterday on Jeju island. The police were clearing a path for a cement truck to enter the construction site of a controversial new naval base[They desecrated a Mass just so a TRUCK can enter!!!  Imagine if they do the same thing and either Obama or Lady Gaga were talking or performing!  Imagine the online rants!]

Father Bartholomew Mun Jung-hyun, who was presiding over the Mass at the gates of the site, was knocked to the ground while administering communion. It is claimed that a policeman also trod on the Eucharist [You can see from the photo above.  Makes me wonder though why the priest was holding a paten.  Might be because he placed the Hosts there and there was no ciborium available?  Maybe.]

Father John Ko Buyeong-soo, president of Cheju diocese’s Committee for Justice and Peace, visited the site shortly after the disturbance. [A Catholic News Organization calls this sacrilege, "disturbance".  Ain't that disturbing, huh?]

He told ucanews.com that he would demand an explanation and an apology from police.

To step on or damage the Eucharist is an insult to Catholics,” he said.  [IT IS A SACRILEGE!!!!!!]

The Jeju Provincial Police Agency yesterday issued a press statement in which it denied any wrongdoing[So the photo above was staged?]

“There was no violent force throwing Fr Mun to the ground or stepping on the Eucharist,” the statement said.

Woo Jeong-sik, chief inspector of Jeju police, later said it remained unclear whether Fr Mun was knocked down and added: “the policeman who allegedly stepped on the Eucharist said he did not do so.”  [because the policeman did not know that he was stepping on the Eucharist?]

But Cheong Seon-nyo, head of the Gangjeong mission station, told ucanews.com yesterday that she was with Fr Mun when the incident occurred.

I clearly saw a policeman step on the Eucharist that had fallen to the ground,” she said. [there is a witness.]

The construction of the naval base on Jeju island, which will become home to a new fleet of 20 warships and other vessels, has sparked vigorous protests from local residents, environmental activists and religious leaders.

Protesters say the project would cause irreparable damage to the ecosystem of the island, which is a popular tourism destination and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Why can't we Catholic react the same way the Muslims do when the name of their prophet is ridiculed or their book is desecrated?

NO.  Not xactly HOW they do it.

Without the threats to kill..

Without the threats to burn...

And without the threats....and uhm, without the uh...

So, ok.

We don't react like the Muslims, so we must not react like them.

BUT we need a more concrete action that THIS NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN!

IN the meantime, please pray this:
Amen.

Sacrilege!!!

To none speakers of Tagalog, the video below is about the theft of the monstrance containing our Blessed Lord in the Parish of St. Peter in Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.

I do not want to imagine what they did with Him.

The Parish, which is weirdly called, St. Peter Parish - Shrine of Leaders  [WHA?!?]  is frequented by a lot of the faithful.  I find it weird that the parish does not even have a security guard on duty to watch at the Adoration Chapel.

The monstrance, the report says, is gold plated and was bought at Rome.

What I hope to learn is if the parish even would schedule a Mass of Reparation for the committed sacrilege.

If the parish or the diocese even knows about such things need to be done after such a hideous crime against the Lord in the Eucharist is committed.

Please pray this after watching the video, please pray this:

Act of Reparation to the Most Blessed Sacrament

With that most profound respect which divine Faith inspires,
O my God and Saviour Jesus Christ, true God and true man,
I adore Thee, and with my whole heart I love Thee,
hidden in the most august Sacrament of the Altar,
in reparation of all the irreverences, profanations, and sacrileges, that I,
to my shame, may have until now committed, as also for all those
that have been committed against Thee,
or that may be ever committed for the time to come.
I offer to Thee, therefore, O my God,
my humble adoration, not indeed, such as Thou art worthy of,
nor such as I owe Thee, but such, at least,
as I am capable of offerings; and I wish that I could love Thee
with the most perfect love of which rational creatures are capable.
In the meantime, I desire to adore Thee now and always,
not only for those Catholics who do not adore or love Thee,
but also so supply the defect, and for the conversion of all heretics,
schismatics, libertines, atheists, blasphemers,
sorcerers, Mahomedans, Jews, and idolaters.
Ah! yes, my Jesus, mayest Thou be known,
adored, and loved by all and may thanks be continually given to Thee
in the most holy and august Sacrament!

Eucharistic Springtime

VATICAN CITY, NOV. 17, 2010 (Zenit.org).- Benedict XVI says there is a "Eucharistic springtime" in the Church, manifested in the numerous people who pause before the tabernacle to enjoy a "conversation of love" with Jesus. [Huzzah!!!  Even if the tabernacle is being put in an odd position in the church and not in the most prominent and most honorable place for the Lord, people are publicly expressing their love, devotion and faith to the Lord who is present in the Holy Sacrament.]

The Pope mentioned this springtime when he dedicated today's general audience to a woman saint of the 13th century who was instrumental in promoting the feast of Corpus Christi.

He spoke of St. Juliana of Cornillon (1191 or 1192-1258), noting that she had "a profound sense of the presence of Christ, which she experienced by living in a particularly intense way the sacrament of the Eucharist and pausing often to meditate on the words of Jesus: 'And lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age' (Matthew 28:20).

This saint had visions in her Eucharistic adoration, which led her to promote a feast "in which believers would be able to adore the Eucharist to increase their faith, advance in the practice of virtue and make reparation for offenses to the Most Holy Sacrament," the Holy Father explained.

He added that through trials, Juliana persevered in her devotion to the Eucharist, up to her death: "In the cell where she lay the Most Blessed Sacrament was exposed and, according to the words of her biographer, Juliana died contemplating with a last outburst of love the Eucharistic Jesus, whom she had always loved, honored and adored."

Benedict XVI went on to reflect about Eucharistic devotion in the Church, affirming "with joy" that there is a "Eucharistic springtime" and noting the consolation that "not a few groups of young people have rediscovered the beauty of praying in adoration before the Most Blessed Sacrament."

In this regard, he recalled Eucharistic adoration in Hyde Park during his September visit to London.

"I pray so that this Eucharistic 'springtime' will spread increasingly in every parish, in particular in Belgium, the homeland of St. Juliana," the Pope said. [The pope's words have very deep meaning in them as Belgium produced a lot of dissenters and heretics in the University of Lou...]

And he encouraged the faithful to find the Eucharistic Christ not only at Sunday Mass. "[L]et us try as well to frequently go to visit the Lord present in the Tabernacle," he urged. "Gazing in adoration at the consecrated Host, we discover the gift of the love of God, we discover the passion and the cross of Jesus, and also his Resurrection. Precisely through our gazing in adoration, the Lord draws us to himself, into his mystery, to transform us as he transforms the bread and wine."

On this note, I implore...

Benedict XVI will be remembered as Pope of Eucharist and liturgy

Lima, Peru, Jun 30, 2010 / 06:06 pm (EWTN News) - During Mass on the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul, the Archbishop of Lima, Cardinal Juan Luis Cipriani said Pope Benedict XVI may be remembered as “the Pope of the Eucharist and of love for the splendor of the Liturgy.”

During his homily he thanked the Holy Father for a pontificate characterized by a special emphasis on the sacrament of the Eucharist. [because the way we prayed eroded our belief in the Eucharist.]

“We have seen over the years how he affectionately leads us to the Eucharist, the heart of the Christian life, the source of the Church’s mission of evangelization, and which must always be the center and source of service that has been entrusted to her,” the cardinal said.

Cardinal Cipriani noted that Catholics, nourished and sustained by the Eucharist, have the duty to always keep themselves in full unity with Christ, and recalled that the Holy Father exhorts Catholics to intensify their love and devotion to Jesus in the Eucharist, expressing their faith with courage and clarity, above all with solemn celebrations properly carried out. [Lex orandi, lex credendi!]

The cardinal urged the faithful to pray for the Pope, for bishops, priests and religious.

The way the Mass was celebrated in the years after Vatican II completely eroded the way we believe in the Eucharist.  A lot of people lost their belief in the Real Presence.  Communion in the Hand greatly contributed to it!

VERY RARE: Muslim Magazine apologizes to...Catholics!

Now this is something new!  Hope this becomes a norm for Muslims rather than an exception.  Shows that a little education is part of the recipe of civility and religious tolerance.

***

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, MARCH 10, 2010 (Zenit.org).- Al-Islam magazine apologized to Catholics for publishing a report in which two of its journalists profaned a consecrated host, reported Eglises d'Asie, agency of the Foreign Missions of Paris. [Remember this post?]

Archbishop Murphy Pakiam of Kuala Lumpur had asked for the apology last week after affirming that the archdiocese would not pursue legal action. [How about actions of the Catholic Church to ensure that this would not happen again?  I have a suggestion.  STOP COMMUNION IN THE HAND for starters.  Sign the petition on the left side bar!  DO IT NOW!]

Two days later the directors of the monthly publication issued a public apology for the actions last May of two Muslim journalists who attended a Mass and, posing as Christians, took Communion. They spat out the hosts, and one took a photograph. They later criticized and ridiculed Christian beliefs in an article published in al-Islam magazine. [In the Muslim world, a fatah would have been issued.  Rallies and riots in the streets.  Hooligans trying to desperately cut their own jugulars by screaming their lungs out.  Desecrations of anything related to Christianity.  In other words, utter chaos!  You do this to the Catholic Church.  What do you get? "Let's sit down for tea and DIALOGUE!"  When do we get concrete action for this to STOP!  AGAIN I say...SIGN THE PETITION!  You as a Catholic can do a lot.]

The incident was reported to the police, who accused the two of having "caused disharmony, feelings of enmity and hatred, and undermining religious harmony in the country."

Penalties for this offense in Malaysia include imprisonment for two to five years. The charges, however, were later dropped. [&*^%$#@$%]

The editors of al-Islam magazine explained that the intention of his journalists was not to offend the religious feelings of Catholics and that the two journalists were investigating rumors about the conversion of Muslim girls to Christianity. [And so what was their intent of posing as Catholics and then spitting the Sacred Host and THEN taking a photograph of the desecrated Host and THEN publishing IT?  If it is not religious mockery then you can just go a call every Muslim a terrorist!]

The apology will be published in the April issue of al-Islam, which goes on sale in mid-March.

***

Very rare for a Muslim organization to issue an apology.

Very rare for Catholic bishop to make a decisive action to stop desecrations of the Holy Eucharist.

Very rare.

Muslims receive Holy Communion and...
