Whereas the historical record of Pelagius’s contribution to our theological tradition is shrouded in the political ambition of his theological antagonists who sought to discredit what they felt was a threat to the empire, and their ecclesiastical dominance, [Ever heard of the term "It is a way for the all-male Vatican leadership who hides in their palaces to dominate us who work with the poor and the oppressed!  They are not as PASTORAL as us!" -  Yup, this is it.]  and whereas an understanding of his life and writings might bring more to bear on his good standing in our tradition, and whereas his restitution as a viable theological voice within our tradition might encourage a deeper understanding of sin, grace, free will, and the goodness of God’s creation, [Because Pelagius taught that man does not need Divine Grace to do good works.  Yup that'll enrich the dying Epsicopalian Church!]  and whereas in as much as the history of Pelagius represents to some the struggle for theological exploration that is our birthright as Anglicans, [like women ordination, homosexual "marriage"... keep on exploring.  You'll find more in hell.] Be it resolved, that this 105th Annual Council of the Diocese of Atlanta appoint a committee of discernment overseen by our Bishop, to consider these matters as a means to honor the contributions of Pelagius and reclaim his voice in our tradition And be it further resolved that this committee will report their conclusions at the next Annual Council.

Episcopal Church - quality over quantity?

The Episcopalian Church in the US has its membership from 2,006,343 members in 2009 to 1,951,907 in 2010.

Why could they be losing members?

They allowed ordination of women.

Ordained openly and active homosexuals.

Blessed homosexual unions.

Allowed contraception. I dunno if they support early term abortion.

And all those "signs of the times" aggiornamento theology that unfortunately, some theologians at Loyola, most in Maryhill and St. Vincent and Euntes advocate, are the very reasons that sifts the membership coffers of the Episcopalian Church. Note to these "Catholic" theologians:  JUST STOP IT.  IT's NOT WORKING.

As this quote from the report says:

"Departures to other churches have fueled Episcopal decline, as have decreasing baptisms and its graying population.

"These statistics contrast sharply with more theologically conservative Anglican churches in the global south, many of which are witnessing skyrocketing numbers.

"Despite all its liberal cheer leading about inclusiveness, the Episcopal Church is a dwindling, nearly all white, increasingly gray-headed denomination with a grim future, absent divine intervention."

So what, they aim for quality of members over quantity?

Kidding aside...

Liturgical color is not there for sheer fashion.  Liturgical colors are specific colours which are used for the vestments and other specific hangings used inside the church during the Liturgy.  The colors are used to convey the specific mood of the specific season or occasion of the Liturgy being celebrated.  It works just as much as we use color in specific civil or secular occasions.

So with that kaleidoscopic version of a vestment, what is the liturgical color and what is the liturgical season?  Maybe for them, the rainbow is a color.


When you talk to modernist priests about this, you get the rebuke of "You are too legalistic!"  or "You are too rigid!."  Then, if that is the case...

Who will we follow?  If we do not have laws or regulations, whose directive or rule or we going to follow?


Yours, Father Kung?  These dissidents would not want you "to take anything that comes out of Rome."  They just want you to listen to them and that's it.  Don't question.

You might the ask why I am taking such length at discussing this when it what I showed was Episcopalians.  Don't be so sure.  Some Catholic priests look up to the Episcopalians and wanted our beloved Catholic Church to be like them:  decentralized, married clergy, women priests and bishops, practicing gay bishop, gay marriage, contraception, liturgical dancing...

Lawlessness in simple liturgical vestments and colors is just the tip of the iceberg on dissent.

The way the Episcopalians and Anglicans have redefined what was written in the Bible is complete and utter perversion of the Judeo-Christian tradition of what we all believe.  Quite frankly, perversion is an understatement.

So, if your priest is guilty of any liturgical violations, it means any of the two:

1.  He is uninformed of the liturgical laws of the Church and plans to stay that way because quite frankly that is how most Catholic seminaries work today.

and...

2.  They know the liturgical laws but opt not to follow it because "this is Vatican 2!".  Quite frankly, you must be on the lookout for these types.  They are like these...

Robin Williams: About Episcopalians and Catholics

I am a die-hard Superman fan.  Since the very first Superman movie in 1978 until the 2006 Superman Returns, my admiration for the character has not waned.  In fact, I can't wait for the next Superman movie to come out.  I heard that producers at Warner Bros. were disappointed with the modest haul Superman Returns had.  With over $200M of production budget, the movie got more than $300M.  Well, if the producers woke up with my bank account in their hands, I'll bet they'll consider jumping out of the Empire State Building!

Why, who hasn't dreamed of flying off to another country in a few seconds?  Imagine that?  No long lines and no excess baggage!

So as a fan, I was spending a few...ehm, hours surfing the web researching anything about the Man of Steel.  I was reading the history of the character, the film franchise, the so-called Superman curse and those involved in the movies.  By the way, Superman creators have implicitly characterized our hero as somewhat like our Lord.  Only son came to save the world and stuff like that.  Read more here to see my point.

I particularly read about Christopher Reeve, the actor who played Superman in 1978 and probably defined how Superman should look like in the movies.  He broke his neck in a horrible accident that left him a quadriplegic.  He advocated embryonic stem cell research for spinal cord injury regeneration which I was not a fan of, obviously.  I also learned that he is a good friend of comedian Robin Williams.  So one thing led me to another and so I also read the profile of Robim Williams, who is among my favorite comedians of all time.  By the way, he was married to a Filipina.

I learned that Williams is an Episcopalian. In a comedy routine, he described his religion as "Catholic Lite —; same rituals, half the guilt."

Well I am trying to be a stand-up comedian...in the company pantry among my co-workers... so here is my rebuttal, as a Pinoy Catholic, to Mr. Williams' joke.

"Episcopalian Church - looks Catholic, but get half of the benefits."

Commenting on the English-language note, which has been published by his dicastery, Cardinal Levada explained how, "with the preparation of an Apostolic Constitution, [the most authoritative document the Church can issue.] the Catholic Church is responding to the many requests that have been submitted to the Holy See from groups of Anglican clergy and faithful in different parts of the world who wish to enter into full visible communion. [Alleluia!  This is the true work of ecumenism!  To seek those who are lost and bring into the one fold of Christ, shepherded by his Vicar!]

"In this Apostolic Constitution the Holy Father has introduced a canonical structure that provides for such corporate reunion by establishing Personal Ordinariates, which will allow former Anglicans to enter full communion with the Catholic Church while preserving elements of the distinctive Anglican spiritual and liturgical patrimony. Under the terms of the Apostolic Constitution, pastoral oversight and guidance will be provided for groups of former Anglicans through a Personal Ordinariate, whose Ordinary will usually be appointed from among former Anglican clergy.

"The forthcoming Apostolic Constitution provides a reasonable and even necessary response to a worldwide phenomenon, by offering a single canonical model for the universal Church which is adaptable to various local situations and equitable to former Anglicans in its universal application. It provides for the ordination as Catholic priests of married former Anglican clergy. Historical and ecumenical reasons preclude the ordination of married men as bishops in both the Catholic and Orthodox Churches. The Constitution therefore stipulates that the Ordinary can be either a priest or an unmarried bishop. The seminarians in the Ordinariate are to be prepared alongside other Catholic seminarians, though the Ordinariate may establish a house of formation to address the particular needs of formation in the Anglican patrimony".

"The provision of this new structure is consistent with the commitment to ecumenical dialogue, which continues to be a priority for the Catholic Church, particularly through the efforts of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. The initiative has come from a number of different groups of Anglicans" who, said Cardinal Levada, "have declared that they share the common Catholic faith as it is expressed in the Catechism of the Catholic Church and accept the Petrine ministry as something Christ willed for the Church. For them, the time has come to express this implicit unity in the visible form of full communion".

The cardinal further indicated that "it is the hope of the Holy Father Benedict XVI that the Anglican clergy and faithful who desire union with the Catholic Church will find in this canonical structure the opportunity to preserve those Anglican traditions precious to them and consistent with the Catholic faith. Insofar as these traditions express in a distinctive way the faith that is held in common, they are a gift to be shared in the wider Church. The unity of the Church does not require a uniformity that ignores cultural diversity, as the history of Christianity shows. Moreover, the many diverse traditions present in the Catholic Church today are all rooted in the principle articulated by St. Paul in his letter to the Ephesians: 'There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism'.

"Our communion", the cardinal added in conclusion, "is therefore strengthened by such legitimate diversity, and so we are happy that these men and women bring with them their particular contributions to our common life of faith".

Dr. Tiller was shot and killed Sunday morning while serving as an usher at his church in Witchita, Kansas. Since the 1970s, Dr. Tiller has provided critical abortion and reproductive health care at great personal risk. In doing so, he has saved the lives and futures of countless women and girls across the country. His murder is a tragedy for his family, friends, and colleagues. It is also a tragedy for the women who need his care and for the entire community of health care providers and advocates, and for all of us who believe in a woman's right to dignity and self-determination. Please join us in honoring this great man who truly lived by his motto to "Trust Women."

I would have no problem with a church organizing a demonstration to protest Tiller's murder, which was an evil act deserving of condemnation. But for a Christian Church to have a celebration of the life of a man who made his living putting scissors into the brains of partially-born babies and sucking their brains out is revolting. It's beyond revolting -- well, that's evil. They are turning the cathedral into a temple of Moloch. For shame.

UPDATE: The cleric who heads the Episcopal Divinity School canonizes a man who injected babies' hearts with a poison-tipped needle:

St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral in Boston held an evening memorial service where the Very Rev. Katherine Ragsdale, president of Episcopal Divinity School in nearby Cambridge, was one of several scheduled speakers.

"This is about the loss of a man who was a saint and a martyr," she said in an interview before the service.

You may recall what this wicked person said earlier:

This woman is evil. She is an evil person who preaches evil, and is a conscious agent of the culture of death. She is the enemy. We are, of course, to love our enemies, but that doesn't make her any less the enemy. Could it possibly be more stark? Lord have mercy.

Incidentally, the LGBT caucus among the Episcopalians is over the moon.

Why would any Christian wish to be under the spiritual authority of this person, or submit to the instruction of this enemy of life, this enemy of the Gospel? Seriously, it boggles my mind. She is no Christian, not in any way I recognize. I literally pray that her ministry of death comes to nothing.

Geez! Repent and prepare the way of the Lord. The Episcopalians are really working to kill the helpless, defenseless, innocent babies! Same league as Herod and Hitler.
