Anti-TPC: Am I against the Novus Ordo?

Well some "Rad Fan", tried Googling Chupungcan Mass.

Idjit.

Of course you won't find it!  I coined the term and it is for TPC purposes only!

Idjit.

He even declared that I am against the Novus Ordo.

Really?

No wonder why I posted about celebrating the Novus Ordo well here, about the correct translation here, about why priests must be well vested for the Mass here, about celebrating the Novus Ordo ad orientem here, how I even sent photos to the New Liturgical Movement website about the canonical installation Mass of Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma, of course done in the Novus Ordo, without the caracol or the Sinulog dance done in the Mass, unlike the caracol done in Imus, and Manila, why I am against Communion in the Hand...Of course why would I be against Communion in the Hand for the TLM? Duh!  Of course it only happens in the Novus Ordo!

It looks like I have critics from both Chupungcan, makaDiwa wings and the SSPX wings...and the die hard fans of #ULTIMATE You-Know-Who.

This is not a war of personalities people!

I am for the solemn celebration of the Novus Ordo and the Traditional Latin Mass, no liturgical abuses, no additions, all according to the approved liturgical books of the Holy See, intiendes?

Unfortunately, there are some people, like the Japanese goat, who spend more time behind the computer than doing his part

Maybe the Japanese goat thinks that this photo I posted is the Traditional Latin Mass.

It's the Novus Ordo being celebrated by the then pope.

Idjit.

The erosion of belief: More liturgical horrors during an Easter Vigil

Yeah, that is how the Mass has become to the people behind this "show", a SHOW.  The Mass is something you "plan" to make it "more lively", as if the Mass where Christ is sacrificed is DEAD.  They tell you the Mass needs to be more "interesting" as if the Mass is boring and unattractive.

So if people are taught that the Mass is a show, they expect it to be a show!

Children MUST DANCE during the Entrance Procession or during the Singing of the Gloria...

Someone must act out while the Gospel is being read. I once attended an Easter Vigil and the whole reading was acted out! It was a total mess!

Priests MUST make them LAUGH during the homily...

Tons of whatever you can find to offer during the Offertory Procession MUST BE OFFERED and an explanation of why it is being offered is read by the Commentator.  Ever seen a toga and diploma offered during a Baccalaureate Mass?

Loaf bread was consecrated since according to the priest, Christ took bread not HOST! Arrrggghhhh!!!

Each person was asked to receive ONLY ON THE HAND and to show the spirit of giving and community, must not put the Host he received but must place it into the mouth of the person standing next to him on the Communion line. AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

Now, you know why the Church has told us about Lex orandi, lex credendi. The law of prayer is the law of Faith.

Before the Church has written down what it believes in through the codification of the books of the Bible and the Creed, we were already praying, and our prayer expresses what we believe in.

Do not be surprised why we have Cafeteria Catholics, those who choose like in a cafeteria, what suits them.  I prefer to call them BUFFET CATHOLICS, gluttons who take only what they want and when they have their fill, leave their half-finished plates. Why we have Catholics who openly defy the teachings of the Church and do whatever they want? Active homosexuals, couples who co-habitate, use contraception, abort their babies, use drugs, graft and corruption....

These are all signs my dear people of the corruption of our people

And it is all thanks to the great work, or none of it, of our bishops and priests, who failed miserably in their work to tell the people right from wrong, of telling their flock of what is Holy and what is Mundane, of what is life here on earth as a preparation for LIFE IN HEAVEN.

When I saw the photos that were sent to me, aside from what I ranted above, this thing comes to mind:

"The parish priest just admitted that he is a lousy proclaimer of the Gospel that he needs the help of children to proclaim the Resurrection of the Lord, which he always reads every single year of his life as a priest of the Catholic Church!"

Pathetic!

No wonder you have priests who'd use the energy to make Powerpoint presentations for their homily.  Words are not enough!

Poor St. Paul and St. Francis Xavier.  You are not as good as these SHOWMAN PRIESTS.  You are not entertaining enough, and you were born in a time that has no electricity!

Try preaching with words and deeds, and stop the CREATIVITIES that is anything but creative because they distract the attention of the Mass goers from the essentials!

The reason, aside from that one, why I hate these skits or acting, if you call them that, during the Mass, is that they are perfect grounds for GRAFT AND CORRUPTION.

Yup, you read it right.  These ACTING WORKSHOPS and their TRAINERS are pathetic actors of whatever theater you have who'd charge an arm and a leg to train church people during these days.  I am a witness to this.  Priests would rather spend P20,000 to P30,000 of church donations for this useless, one-night only performance, yet they frown upon spending the same amount of money in purchasing edifying and beautiful vestments, vessels and images for the worship of the Lord during Mass!

Really mind boggling!

Why oh, why dear liturgists and priests are Masses like these drawing young people, huh?

Why oh why then are you afraid of televising this kind of Mass?

Oh yeah, I know all about it, how the ugly head of that Benedictine monk and his minions turned towards a regular Sunday Mass on TV after a TLM was shown on national TV....the following Sunday they broadcast their "rebuttal" of that hopelessly dead, yet still being flogged to life zombie known as Misa ng Sambayanang Pilipino?

And you think they were through?  No siree.  The whole program was recommended to be taken off the air!

Such power that old man wields!  Makes you think that he might be like his idol, Annibale, you know, the liturgical leanings and SOCIETY he might be affiliated with?

Just wondering........

BREAKING!!! Holy See says NO to demands of SSPX

From National Catholic Register

***

The Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith has said that the theological position of the breakaway Society of St. Pius X is insufficient to restore full unity with the Church at present.

Pope Benedict XVI has reviewed a January 2012 letter from Bishop Bernard Fellay, superior general of the society. In that letter, the bishop responded to a doctrinal statement intended to be a basis for full reconciliation with Rome.

However, following the decision of the Pope, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith has found that the position Bishop Fellay expressed is “not sufficient to overcome the doctrinal problems which lie at the foundation of the rift between the Holy See and the Society of St. Pius X,” a March 16 communiqué from the Holy See Press Office said.

The congregation is concerned to avoid “an ecclesial rupture of painful and incalculable consequences” and has invited Bishop Fellay to clarify his position “in order to be able to heal the existing rift, as is the desire of Pope Benedict XVI.”  [Hmmm...sounds like the Holy See really wants to keep a door open for the SSPX.]

Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre founded the Society of St. Pius X in 1970 in response to what he saw as errors that had arisen in the Church after the Second Vatican Council. The society broke from the Church in 1988, when its founder ordained four bishops against Pope John Paul II’s instructions, resulting in their excommunications.

Pope Benedict XVI lifted the excommunications in 2009 as a prelude to talks about reconciling the society with the Church. At the time he said that the society would have to show “true recognition of the magisterium and the authority of the Pope and of the Second Vatican Council” to restore full communion.  [The SSPX wants nothing to do with Vatican II.  Wha?!  It happened so we have to deal with it.]

Vatican officials said that the restoration of unity could come in the form of a personal prelature, a special Church jurisdiction without geographic boundaries.

In September 2011 Cardinal William Levada, prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, presented Bishop Fellay with the doctrinal preamble, a statement of principles that outlines points of doctrine which the breakaway group needed to accept to restore communion.  [And a lot within SSPX were up in arms for what they see as a preamble that would compromise their position as traditionalist and as, uhm, as uh....remnant Catholics?]

In November 2011, Bishop Fellay said that the society cannot endorse the preamble. He said he particularly wanted to discuss what the Vatican meant when it said there is “leeway” for a “legitimate discussion” on the documents and legacy of the Second Vatican Council.

Still the Holy See wants them back into the one fold of Jesus Christ under the leadership of Peter.

Now let me rant...

I guess the THAT priest-blogger will now say that I am happy that the SSPX did not go back to the Vatican II Rome since I am really an undercover SSPX and I do not want to have anything to do with Vatican II!

 ROFL!!!!

See what a lot of steam does.

Now he just lost show.

But I digress.

Please pray for him also.  He is a man full of anger.  He is always mad.

No really, not joking.  He always is.  Too much time fighting anti-Catholics got into him, much like a post-traumatic stress disorder that soldiers experience.  He needs help and guidance.

Pray for him.  When you pray please say "Please bless and heal the priest blogger that Pinoy Catholic is talking about."  Then say One Pater, Ave and Gloria for him.  That would suffice.

And pray One Pater, Ave and Gloria to soften the hearts of the SSPX and that they go back to the One Fold of Jesus Christ.

For young traditionalist men who want to become priests

The great blogger, Father John Zuhlsdorf has a very wise advice for all of you!

Back in the dark days of the 80′s when in my seminary to have a statue of Our Lady of Fatima or to say the rosary in public meant expulsion, I came up with the Six Rules of Seminary Survival. Where you are they may still pertain:

Rarely affirm.
Never deny.
Seldom make distinctions.
Smile a lot.
Say very little.
Never wear black.

In my day, it was as if we were officers-in-training, but in the military academy of the enemy. That seems like the situation there.

This is what you must do: learn what these modernist oppressors have to teach, parrot it back to them, and read good books on your own, with a flashlight and shades drawn if necessary.

And if you have to give up the internet, then for the love of God and His Holy Church give it up.

Get ordained.

Your day will come.

There will be time after ordination to learn the TLM and build up that dimension of the formation they are – contrary to the Church’s law – cheating you out of.

For the sake of that day, be quiet and make sacrifices of your desire to surf around as you will.

If you have to, you can – believe me – hang by your thumbs until your hands are anointed.

Do not, by fighting or reacting suddenly, give those… aging-hippy modernists anything to beat you with.

Once you are ordained, with a joyful smile and in charity destroy their life’s work.

***

I have known a couple of friends who swear they could have just shut the hell up and played politics just to get ordained!  :D

And I know a couple who did just that and raised their nutty professors into a frenzy for "coming out" and showing their true Traddie colors!

Well, "destroying their life's work" is what some of Fr. A's students are doing, eh?

And don't forget to vote for his blog!

So to those wanting to enter the seminary and have this knack to hunt for liberals and modernists...

Heed Fr. Z's advice!

Ranting about your Anathema sit won't get you anywhere!

And the Church is found on both East and West, North and South.  So, stop your obsession about directions, ok?!

Striking a chord: Catholic Mass with Pentecostal elements?

I guess the post about the More fun in the Philippines post about the priest with his hands up in the air really struck a chord especially with the fans of the pictured priest.

Well, let Michael Voris explain it to you why raising hands and having a Pentecostal service inside a Catholic Mass is NOT OK and NOT FUN.

Pentecostalism is soo rampant in Africa where Catholicism is growing. No wonder why the Pentecostals are there! They would not even dare preach in China or any Muslim countries! They like to 'evangelize' in Catholic countries.

Which do you think now is helpful for Catholics to rediscover the holiness in worshipping?

I take off my salakot for our brothers and sisters in Nigeria.

They know how to worship properly, AS ADVISED BY CHURCH LAWS.

And not by clapping hands, shouting gibberish (aka Tongues daw!), liturgical dancers with tambourines (you see this every week in SM Megamall and on Studio 23. Belch!) and following whatever the Pentecostals do, EXCEPT following what Holy Mother Church teaches us through Her Popes and bishops.

PS: You get rants on such topics from fans of these kinds of priests just because it is realy not about the issue of liturgical abuse. But it is all about their IDOL getting noticed in a VERY BAD WAY in a blog like this.

If you think your priest is not doing anything wrong. Then shush! If you think they doing something wrong, tell it to him in a brotherly way.

Nothing to be afraid right if you did nothing wrong.

Finally, what is the rant all about? Well, obviously it is all about the priest. Wow! Great devotion! Not about Christ and His Church.

Wrong priorities.

Not fun...

 This gave me a migraine...

Neither fun, NOR HOLY and must not be done in the Philippines or any part of the Catholic world.

Who do you think is worshipped here?  Yeah, they'd say its the Lord.  But who gets plus points for making it more "fun and entertaining"?

No wonder they hate worshipping like this.

No chance to take the spotlight.

Damn narcissist!

A priest publicly ridicules the Traditional Latin Mass

When the uninformed makes fun of something he does not know of. What does it make of him?

The priest and the server talk in "swswswwswswssss......" during the TLM?

The priest covers the host and chalice to "emphasize mystery"

Well, if you have this Willie Revillame trying-hard, copy-cat wannabe, yeah, truly, you will lose the sense of mystery!

He says that after Vatican II, you have a more participative Mass. But later on, he says that even if you attend the same Novus Ordo Mass but did not respond, you did not become participative. WHA?!?!?!

This is the priest who ridicules the Mass, when in fact he loves to have dancers in the Mass he celebrates. I wonder if he will celebrate Sunday Mass regularly without the Mass being broadcast on national TV? Hmmm.... Just wondering.

And the TLM makes the mass goers "audiences"?!?! When did you see an entertainment show host "turning his back" on his audience, huh? Try asking FR. MARIO SOBREJUANITE, SSP, yup the name of this priest, to stop looking at the people, to stop orating while he pronounces the prayers, to start praying instead of performing, and let us see who is acting the host and audience?  Don't you love it when Fr. Mario loves making "kuwentong barbero" stories and how he loves to brag how he is so close with Mrs. Henry Sy and how he got his washing machine for free?  Yeah, I saw that episode.  Just, too inappropriate.

Well, for all I know about him, there is something in his surname that makes him NOT LOSE the TV Mass. *wink*  (first two syllables)

Fr. Mario, a word of advice. Think before you talk. You act more stupid than how you mimicked the swishing sound that does not even happen in the Mass you just ridiculed!

See what you get when you have professors who teach rubbish in our seminaries!

And see what you get when priest are too narcissistic!

Try taking him out of TV and in SM Megamall and let's see if he'll still minister to that charismatic group.

SOBRE?

Someone "knowledgeable" about theology RANTS about my post about the TLM

I once made a post about Why I Love the Latin Mass.

I did not say that I hate the Pauline Mass.  But I just said I loved it more than I love the Pauline Mass.

I LOVE BOTH MASSES.  BUT I LOVE THE TLM MORE.

But, YOU KNOW, some old guy, who thinks he knows everything there is to KNOW about Catholicism.

And so he reacts...

Paul Dion, STL said...

The Mass is the Mass. It is not a ceremony to watch. It is Christ's sacrifice for our redemption. At Mass we exercise our Priesthood, [WE ARE CHURCH!  Wooohoo!!!  MST!!!] side by side with the minister, the ordained priest and participate in the Last Supper in remembrance of Him to whom we dedicate our lives fully and without reservation. It's impossible to do that if you don't understand the language [He thinks people who attend the TLM are idiots who don't know Latin.  He knows that based on his assumptions.]  and if the minister doesn't acknowledge your presence except for an occasional "Dominus Vobiscum." [The priest needs to acknowledge our presence to confect the Holy Sacrifice.  So, MST!]  I'm old enough to remember what we had before [no wonder why he left!] and I know all the theological reasons why it has changed. [HE KNOWS?!?!?!] I also know [HE ALWAYS KNOWS?!?!?!]  that the changes started way before Vatican II and that Vatican II only dressed the table that Pius XII had already begun to set. [Probably a classmate of Anscar.  HEY PAUL!  Ever heard of Pius XII and his condemnation of liturgical archaelogism in Mediator Dei?  I think you KNOW that don't you?  You have an STL!].  Now let me see you defend the Pauline Mass!]  If you can't handle the 21st century, [yes, I do I was born in the 21st century. Not like you.]  just tough it out while you're here and hope that when you get to heaven you'll have all the reactionary Tridentine spirituality [?!?!  Who is grumpier here?!  I just said I loved the TLM!] you always wanted without ever having truly lived it.  [Now, he judges me.  Look at him!  Studied in Rome for his STL as a layman?  Come on, I am no idiot. ]

Well, I guess a grumpy old man is stuck in the 60s and he thinks he is more knowledgeable of the "theological reasons" why Vatican II changed the Mass.  Maybe because I thanked the Lord for Summorum Pontificum. That turned on the "Grumpy switch".

I can't wait to hear the "theological reasons you know", Paul, before I even answer point by point what you claim you KNOW really happened even at the time of Pius XII.

Because YOU KNOW, dear TPC readers, PAUL DION, ES-TEE-EL, KNOWS better than that old guy who now calls himself Pope.  And YOU KNOW, PAUL DION, ES-TEE-EL, KNOOOOWWWSSS, that when I get to Heaven, I get to live the reactionary Tridentine spirituality I always wanted, because YOU KNOW, PAUL DION, ES-TEE-EL, KNOOOWWWSSS this for a fact because, YOU KNOW that PAUL DION, ES-TEE-EL, KNOOOWWWSSS because he has an ESSSS-----TEEEEE----ELLLLLLL.

"I am so excited and I just can't hide it."

I guess you are too old to know that line too, eh.

YOU KNOW?

Start answering Paul Dion, STL.

I am waiting.

By the way, I do not have an STL.  But I KNOW what and how to answer you.

I have Pope Benedict's writings to back me up among other things.

What do you have?  "I am so excited and I just can't hide it."

Oh yeah, I forgot.

You have an ESSS ---- TEEEE  ----   ELLLLLL!!!!!
