The double beam cross is not for Cardinals but for Archbishops. It is called the Archbishop's Cross. The triple beam cross is for the Pope. Thus it is called the Papal Cross.

not really, it's called patriarchal cross, a symbol of authority for metropolitan bishops or archbishops.
