Celdran, you want a fair deal?

Carlos Celdran, you-know-who, posted this on his Facebook and Twitter accounts:
promises to take his protest outside of Church just as long as the CBCP promises to take their agenda outside of government. Fair trade.

No let us take this down bit by bit.

He went into a church, note small c. It is a building, not the Institution which is written with the capital letter C. Not to protest, but heckle. I know he doesn't have it between his legs to do the same: telling the Manalos and the INC inside an INC Temple to get off politics and to go inside a mosque and tell an Imam and the Muslims praying about RH Bill, women's and gay rights, which Celdran also fights for.

Protest outside of the religious building? Ok. That is what CIVILIZED PEOPLE do.  Expressing their opinions while respecting others.  Freedom of speech and expression rests on the principle of mutual respect.

So in exchange of protesting outside the Cathedral, he wants the CBCP out of government!

Why? Is the CBCP IN government? Are there any bishops elected into public office?

Here's your counter offer Celdran:

I WILL JOIN YOU IN YOUR CRUSADE IF YOU WILL DO WHAT YOU DID AT THE MANILA CATHEDRAL BUT THIS TIME INSIDE A MOSQUE AND AN IGLESIA NI CRISTO TEMPLE.

Fair deal?  I think so.

The INC is notorious for forcing their members who to vote for and for influencing government policies on going against just about anything that the Catholic Church supports or bans.  Take their brain busting stand on the RH Bill and calling the rhythm method "unnatural". Muslim Imams of the Philippines also expressed their opposition for the RH Bill. So I think Celdran should protest their meddling too.

If you think what you are fighting for is right and worth dying for, then put your money where your mouth is!

We all want to see you tell the same message to the faces of the INC ministers and imams "to stay the hell out of politics!"

Fair deal?  I think so.

I will be waiting.

  1. Fair deal Pinoy Catholic. Let's measure up his courage... I, too will join his crusade if he can protest inside a mosque or an INC temple.

    Let's start the counting today!

  2. Wow. Either you guys are seriously demented or you guys are just high on drugs.

Carlos Celdran protested in a Church because:
    1. It houses/represents the most influential religion in the country.
    2. That influential religion ALWAYS meddled in Philippine politics.
    3. Such examples include their lobby against Rizal Bill, Divorce, Protection of prostitutes, RH Bill and several others.
    4. These bills, however, actually contribute good to the country.
    5. He is frustrated that the Church wields much power over the people and uses it to cram THEIR belief down everyone else's throats.

He did not protest at Mosques and/or Iglesias because:
    1. They're not significant.
    2. They do not meddle in LAW-MAKING BODIES

They may influence votes but even Catholicism does that and that's not the issue, is it?

The issue here is the denial of rights to information, informed decisions, protection and understand to Filipinos.

Muslims and Iglesian's may ignore their Church's requests to block-vote because at the end of the day, they can decide for themselves.

Catholics - and the rest of the Filipinos, however, are denied of the opportunity to be educated of matters of sex in a controlled classroom setting where an expert will discuss [esp. the masses].

Muslims and Iglesian's do not do lasting damages to the rights of their members AND non-members.

Catholicism, on the other hand... ahem.

  3. @Diamond

Tell us how the bills you mentioned contribute good to a country.

  4. go to facebook and read the arguments there. i'm tired of spoonfeeding you lot. :))

it promotes informed decisions through giving everyone all possible methods for family planning. from informed decisions, we make our country less stupid, less poor (less unwanted, neglected babies you cannot sustain, less squatter-y), etc. etc. need i say more?

    research for more in-depth explanation.

  5. Diamond, you think we do not know what the issue is all about and have not read the RH Bill?

    How presumptuous are you!

I think you are the one who needs more research why we are against the RH Bill.

This goes way beyond access to information about reproductive health, my boy.

Informed decisions? How long has the government been informing the public about artificial birth control? We did that during the Ramos presidency!

Get a grip boy before you bark your head off!

This goes beyond access to information!

  6. Diamond, there ain't anything REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH about the RH BILL. Actually what concerns me more about about this bill is THE STIFLING OF OUR INDIVIDUAL FREEDOMS. In its earlier versions I've read that it WILL SEVERELY PENALIZE ANYONE WHO PREVENTS ACCESS TO CONTRACEPTIVE METHODS EVEN SENDING THEM TO PRISON. They've just watered it down a bit but I don't believe all that crap because they are doing this in line with the United Nations Millenium Development Goals. Can't you see what the globalists are doing? They are streamlining the laws of the world to fit their unjust laws. By passing this BILL we ARE PLAYING IN TO THE HANDS OF THE GLOBALISTS.

Please visit the POPULATION RESEARCH INSTITUTE website (just Google it) for more information. I will not provide the link here out of respect to the blog owner. God bless.

  7. The stand of the Iglesia ni Cristo on the RH bill is based on the Holy Bible while the stand of the Catholic church on the RH bill is based on the Humanae Vitae encyclical letter of Paul VI. Is the Humanae Vitae even from God? It's not. It's from a man named Giovanni Montini or Paul VI.

I am not an INC member but I can attest to the fact that their doctrines are biblical.

    1. Goodness me!

Where in the Holy Bible does artificial contraception appear?

Where in the Holy Bible does it encourage premarital sex?!

    2. Quote from The Pinoy Catholic: "Where in the Holy Bible does artificial contraception appear?"

Well, artificial contraception can nowhere be found in the Holy Bible. I admit that. But I have a question for you: "Where in the Holy Bible is artificial contraception prohibited?"

Quote from The Pinoy Catholic: "Where in the Holy Bible does it encourage premarital sex?!"

The Holy Bible doesn't encourage premarital sex. This is, in my own opinion, a question without sense. The RH bill doesn't encourage premarital sex. The Iglesia ni Cristo doesn't encourage premarital sex. I can't see the point of this question. :P

[So where in a stalemate here? You bet your dollar we are not! Artificial contraception is against the commandment of the Bible to "Not Kill". Artificial contraception, as admitted by its manufacturers, kills the fertilized human ovum. So if that unborn human being is killed inside the womb, what do you call that? Isn't that abortion? Isn't abortion killing?

By the way you are answering my question it is obvious that you believe in the Bible. So, we'll take it from here.]

[You do not see the point of you are dodging the issue? Obviously you did not read the RH Bill. It provides contraception on demand, whether you are married or not! Look it up. Even an unmarried employee, will ask his employer for contraception, in the name of his/her so-called Reproductive Rights. If unmarried people are having sex, what do you call that?

Oviously, you have more time ranting online and attacking the Catholic Church while you are all comfortable behind your monitor and keyboard while the Catholic Church is busy aiding the people in need during this trying times.]
