New Pinoy bishop!

Bishop Ruperto Santos, seated with his crozier is greeted by Papal Nuncio to the Philippines Archbishop Edward Adams (right) Cebu Archbishop Ricardo Cardinal Vidal (left) and Manila Archbishop Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales seen here wearing his pallium, which is a very rare sight!  The new bishop has been consecrated at the Manila Cathedral - Basilica.  He will be the new bishop of the diocese of Balanga, Bataan which Archbishop Soc Villegas left after he was appointed archbishop of Lingayen - Dagupan.

For more about the newly consecrated bishop, click here.  FYI, Bishop Santos was a farmer, is the son of farmer-parents.  His father wanted him to become a professional agriculturist.  Now he is harvesting in the Lord's vineyard!

The Lord really has a very good sense of humor!
