The blog of a group of Filipino Catholics and their frank commentary on anything that affects their lives as a citizen of the Philippines and as a Roman Catholics.
By virtue of Canon Law (Can.1190 §1.) It is absolutely forbidden to sell sacred relics.
The tradition of the Church observes that the grace/blessing from sacred relics are diminished when these are sold or bought for personal acquisition or interest since the act of it is profane in nature (act of simony).
I also bought 3 from the house of the Order where I am from. My brother there told me that, as long as it is not blessed or sprinkled with holy water, it is OK. No simony was taken place. Is that true? Correct me if I am wrong...
Just to be clear. please research before you accuse people of a certain sin. first class and second class relics are not allowed to be sold. if they are, that is simony. 3rd and fourth class relics are allowed to be sold. which is not simony. when you request a relic from rome or from a religious institution, you are asked to make a donation or to pay for the reliquary.
Grabe talaga yang Dave Dela Cruz! Ang seminaristang nagDiyosesis ng Novaliches kasi sinuka ng Cubao sa dami ng iskandalong ginawa.. Lalo na sa mga batang lalaki. Haiist! Mahirap na lang magsalita.. Katawa at tinanggap yan ni Joel Buenviaje (PRIEST ON CALL CAR).

How about this, Sir: Sex in exchange of relics? One friend in the social network was in contact with a guy from Pasay, Mark Pascua, who has relics of Saints. He offered it to my friend in exchange of S.E.B. Take note: my friend is a minor. And he shared that he is not the only victim. Plus! Three of Mark's friends do the same: a fat Bedan, a Tomasino, and a fat guy who goes in clerical or in a sutana.
