The sisters openly promote the illegal form of the Roman Rite.
Current liturgical legislation for Latin Rite Catholics have only one rite, the Roman Rite, but two forms, the Ordinary Form (the Missal of Ven. Paul VI, with the addition of the name of St. Joseph to the four anaphoras (Eucharistic Prayers) by the reigning pontiff, Francis) and the Missal of St. John XXIII also known as the Extraordinary Form.
Apart from the indult granted for the Diocese of Zaire or now known as the Zaire Use or Roman Missal for the Dioceses of Zaire, and the Anglican Use for the Anglican Ordinariate and other limited use rites, nowhere will you find a document giving the Misa ng Bayang Pilipino permission to be celebrated.
Until then........
the Misa ng Bayang Pilipino is ILLEGAL!
And anything done illegally, is IMMORAL.
This is just a wild thought...but I am thinking that during the Papal Visit next year, may will move for a Misa ng Bayan to be celebrated...
ReplyDelete"Ang maong rito gipresenta ug giaprobahan sa Sacred Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments niadtong August 10, 1976. Ang CBCP mihatag sa ilang hiniusang pagtugot sa gihimong June 1976 meeting bahin sa Misa ng Bayang Pilipino."

Frustrating!
ReplyDeleteThe Diocese will certainly do nothing about this...
ReplyDeleteOn the lighter note, there are still some convents in Tagaytay where Mass is celebrated reverently. At the Little souls convent, everybody is required to kneel at the altar rail and receive Christ under both species. The last time I attended Mass at the famous "pink sisters" convent, they sung the ordinary of the mass in latin.
What nonsense. Makes me cringe.

oh really? if it's real, it might put a bad connotation about the place. knowing that tagaytay is rich in different aspect like its amazing view, cold places and great tagaytay hotel.
