BREAKING NEWS!!! Paul VI to be beatified in October 2014?

Well placed sources in the Holy See have informed me that Venerable Paul VI will probably be beatified on October 19, after the Synod of Bishops.

Take this with a grain of salt.  Only Pope Francis can set the date but this is the date going around the rumor mills in the Vatican.

So is the Holy See in a rush to place in the altars the so-called Vatican II popes?

How about this pope?

No, can do?  Why?  We need the radical Jews and history-revisionists to give their assent before he gets beatified?

Since when did people of other faiths have a say in who we beatify, huh?

  1. It would be great if they'd be beatified together, just like Pius IX and John XXIII in 2000. In their lifetimes, I seemed that, Ven. Pius XII and Ven. Paul VI had a very close father and son relationship over and above their collaboration in the Roman Curia. It would also suit the media image of "conservative and liberal together." I do hope Pope Francis will make this courageous move and "make a mess" (Pope Francis in Rio, 2013). Ven. Pius XII and Ven. Paul VI, pray for us!
