The Metropolitan Cathedral of Manila is scheduled to re-open on or before December 9, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
I am privy to some reports that the interior of the historic Cathedral underwent inculturation or if I may say so, DESTRUCTION, but I will not take away from Jennifer that privilege of informing the Catholic faithful about it.
So, in the meantime, here are some images of the restored Cathedral bells of the Minor Basilica.
December 9? Is not it December 8? :D
ReplyDeleteDecember 8 is a Sunday of Lent, which has a higher liturgical rank than a Marian Feast. For this reason, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception is moved to the following day, which is December 9.
