Rumors have been swirling since June of this year and yet another news has come up that this rumor is not a wild one. The master innovator, the circus master of inculturationism and the living breathing protege of suspected freemason Annibale Bugnini is being rumored for so many months now to be appointed as Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship.
He is the same man, an archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church, to openly support the civil union of same sex couples. He is the same man who openly criticized Pope Benedict XVI's liturgical renewal, "the reform of the reform", "the hermenuetic of continuity. He is openly hostile against Summorum Pontificum and all the traditional Latin Mass communities, yet he does not bat an eyelash when it comes to naked tribes people dancing in front of the pope during Mass.
Here is a blog post from the Catholic Herald. Spot on conclusion!
But this time, I am really nervous. For if he [Pope Francis] really does appoint Archbishop Marini as prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship, it can mean only one thing: a radical rejection by Pope Francis of the pontificate of his predecessor, of one of the truly great popes of the last hundred years. It will mean a definitive return to the hermeneutic of rupture and discontinuity. That’s why I don’t believe it’s going to happen. But if it does…. Dear Heavens, what then?
If this truly happens, then God forbid it because I was not hoping to say this to my friends since I heard Bergoglio's name was announced.
