He also served as parish priest at the University of the Philippines in Diliman. There is this "prophecy" that the curate of UP Diliman almost always gets the miter!
ReplyDeleteI don't think the prophecy will happen to the other former curate, Doc Ben. He keeps "running away" from any presbyteral duties, like, uhm, being a priest who dispenses the sacraments?
ReplyDeleteThe Running Priest is a notable exception. The first parish priest Fr Manny Gabriel became a monsignor. I still wonder why he wasn't raised to the episcopate? But the succeeding curates and some assisting priests eventually became bishops. Bishop Ramon Arguelles was parish priest there. If I am not wrong, Bishop Roderick Pabillo spent some time as a priest in that parish.
