The blog of a group of Filipino Catholics and their frank commentary on anything that affects their lives as a citizen of the Philippines and as a Roman Catholics.
He also served as parish priest at the University of the Philippines in Diliman. There is this "prophecy" that the curate of UP Diliman almost always gets the miter!
I don't think the prophecy will happen to the other former curate, Doc Ben. He keeps "running away" from any presbyteral duties, like, uhm, being a priest who dispenses the sacraments?
The Running Priest is a notable exception. The first parish priest Fr Manny Gabriel became a monsignor. I still wonder why he wasn't raised to the episcopate? But the succeeding curates and some assisting priests eventually became bishops. Bishop Ramon Arguelles was parish priest there. If I am not wrong, Bishop Roderick Pabillo spent some time as a priest in that parish.
When we were students, we expected Father Running Priest to be Pope one day! :)
