Verse 6.

On your sons and daughters, hear our prayer.
Who believe and profess you, hear our prayer.
Christ hear us, Lord Jesus hear our prayer.

Yeah, right.

Anything new just as long as it is not traditional or Gregorian, right?

What happened to what Sacrosanctum Concilium?

Aside from that, there is something VERY WRONG in this and I will give you the answer within this same post.

  1. It's Origen, right? I don't think he is a saint. We had the same litany during the Easter Vigil, but thankfully, we were able to edit it and hurriedly replace Origen with Lorenzo. The placement of St. Lorenzo Ruiz with more ancient saints was a bit odd, but at least we were able to mention him, and take out a non-saint from the litany.

  2. True right you are Macky! Origen is not a canonized saint. In fact he is a heretic as his views were anathemized.

  3. Origen. I also noticed tat in the Becker version of the litany. Origen WAS a church father but he was never elevated to saint because in his later years he taught things that were outright heresies.
