We are the World was sung by top musical artists of the 1980s to encourage the American people to donate to the cause of relief efforts for the famine stricken Ethiopia. 25 years after, the same producers of the video, Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones, gathered new artists to sing a new version of the song, this time for a different reason: for the rehabilitation of quake devastated Haiti.
I have mixed feelings for that version...
I found this video, sang by ordinary YouTube users. Ordinary people who do not earn as much as those in the first two versions of We are the World.
Now this song speaks more.
