ReplyDeleteThe Eastern Church believes that Jesus becomes truly present under the appearances of bread and wine in the epiclesis. The Latin Church believes it happens during the consecration itself. So if this miracle is attested, then the Eastern understanding of transubstantiation is supported. I am surprised that the priests did not notice it. In other eucharistic miracles, the priest immediately is taken aback.
