Who wants to be a millionaire???

NO.  This ain't the show.

This is actually the "sanctuary" and altar for the Philippine Conference on the New Evangelization  at the UST

How you can even convince lukewarm Catholics to spread the Gospel with a set-up that looks more like a game show than a Catholic sanctuary is beyond me.

As I said before...

P.C.N.E. is F.L.O.P.

We have lost the sense of the sacred.

Sadly...........tragically.

SO.............do you want to phone a friend?

"Hello, I have just witnessed a grave liturgical abuse committed...."

"RCAM did what???"

  2. and I hate how they set up the "sanctuary" and stage... it was actually disturbing. And look how Genie was happy about it setting the MSP. Holy horrors! It loosed all the sense of the sacredness of the mass and nakakatakot. Inculturated daw pero ang daming abuse! Para daw di maging show kaya lahat daw sasayaw, sapilitan pa. Haaaaay! Look how they deceive us and fool us! Walang spiritual nourishment sa Misa Ng Sambayang Pilipino na yan! Iappove muna nila yan sa ROMA! And dear Cardinal, please stop listening to the "Liturgists" kuno ng RCAM. They are dragging you down for their glory! Remind me of GOD (Genie O Diwa) and the theme of PCNE G.O.D. makes all things new in the wrong way! Most of the people in PCNE hated that MSP, very heretical.

  3. So you say the whole thing is a F.L.O.P. because of the difference in liturgy. Never mind the Pope's presence and encouragement, never mind the "mere high schoolers (young people) who has no idea what they're doing there (your words)" given the experience of having been empowered to be witnesses of the Gospel through new means of Evangelization, never mind that many people attended inspite of recent attacks to the Church.

Aint it myopic to say everything is a F.L.O.P. just because you disagree with the liturgy? It's like praying for rain during an INC rally or saying "leche" to defend the faith.

Although the Vatican has not approved the inculturated liturgy, it didn't also prohibited it. I believe Rome is not blind, it is aware what's happening here and we should wait for them. We have to trust them. They are not stupid. Trust Peter.

My prayer is that you won't be impatient, and resist calling rebellion like the urge to put it into writing and nail it to the Cathedral's doors.

Ubi caritas? We can never defend faith without charity.

    1. The conference is New Evangelization. Do you know what that actually means Mr. Perez?

    2. Are you seriously a media practitioner and a PR guy? Do you really understand what I meant by "open rebellion"????

No seriously. Read first before you click, ok?

    3. You said : “So you say the whole thing is a F.L.O.P. because of the difference in liturgy. Have you heard of the principle: “bonum ex integra causa, malum ex quocumque defectu”. Ang isang mabuti ay mabuti sa kabuuan, and masama at masama dala ng anumang pagkukulang o kasiraan. Kaya anumang ganda ng intenton, pagkaplano, programa, stage na umiilaw, video feed ng Papa, etc... kung palpak ang pagkaka-alay ng naturingang pinakamataas na uri ng panalangin, may hindi yata tama. We are talking here of a Liturgy and it is NOT a mere DIFFERENCE in Liturgy, but a matter of an ILLEGITIMATE Liturgy.

You also said : “Although the Vatican has not approved the inculturated liturgy, it didn't also prohibited it. I believe Rome is not blind, it is aware what's happening here and we should wait for them. We have to trust them. They are not stupid. Trust Peter.”

No prohibition does NOT mean that MSP is already approved. Was Rome aware (that our clergies were saying this MSP)? Are you sure? Para ba tayong mga drivers sa lansangan na di makasunod sa batas traffico na nagkukunwaring tama ang ginagawa nila dahil di naman sila nasisita? Dahil ba hindi nakikita (ng Roma) ay tama na? If I were to follow your logic, then I could invent my liturgy, celebrate it, and it is okay just because Rome does not say anything against it. This kind of mindset is exactly WHY there are so much nuances in the Novus Ordo Missae in very place, and that distinguishing Roman identity is no longer there. Worse, we have lost all our sense of the sacred merely by inject in little by little the profane. Why can't these priests no celebrate the Novus Ordo is indicated in the RUBRICS?

I agree that we should be patient, but in all Christian Charity, I still voice my abhorrence for the introduction of cultural novelty into the Liturgy.

    4. Yes I am. And we Catholics are called to love. And frankly, I don't see any love in this blog but only hateful words. This is not what Jesus taught us. To call people idiots, to chastise them without dialogue, to foster heat than to foster love. This is not Catholic.

And I think before I click, that's why I tried to put comments here so that to remind you that the defense of faith is nothing WITHOUT charity.

      Again, ubi caritas?

    5. To Jose Maria de Manila,

First, I believe that the Papal Nuncio knows this. How sure am I? The same sureness that you say that Rome does not know this. Again, I trust Peter.

"Worse, we have lost all our sense of the sacred merely by inject in little by little the profane."

We are against profanity in the liturgy but are not concerned with the profanities in the words we use in our daily lives? Just like in this blog, what is supposed to be a good resource for views against MSP is now polluted with name calling.

Charity, brothers. Defense of faith is nothing without Charity.

    6. Mr. Perez, you think you know me. You thin I did not talk to them. I am talking to Pharisees who refuse to be talked to with charity. Stop being a member of Church of Nice. You don't know who owns this blog and where he works.

Get real, my boy! How in the world do you think I get all this information? By Googling?

You sit behind a desk and in front of a computer thinking I do the same job as you do.

Charity? Oh men, you ask these people how they treat priests and laymen who pray in Latin and who follow the liturgical teachings of Benedict XVI.

Mr. Perez, you live in a fantasy world of love and forgiveness. This is the 21st century. The 1960s are long gone. Wake up and get real.

The Church of Nice is evil!

  4. Cardinal Tagle should have known this, and the organizers supposed to have informed him ahead of time. Assuming this has been done without intent to violate, this should no longer be repeated.

If a priest for example in the RCAM celebrates the extraordinary form of the Mass in any other Church, does a priest violate any precept of the Church of Rome? NONE and NONE!

But mind you, he is severely restricted by the directives of the RCAM that " This form of Mass is to be celebrated only at the Christ the King Chapel of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Manila once a month, but not on Sundays and Solemnities." --- this prohibition despite Benedict XVI's moto proprio allowing any priest, anywhere to offer the Mass in this form.

WHY this prohibition and some more on the Extraordinary Form (as allowed by Benedict XVI)... while is this Filipino Liturgy celebration sine permisso Romae??? Not even of Francis PP? I mean, can we just introduce about any ad libitum and changes into the Liturgy as each of us please. Supposing, a priest from Milan celebrates the Ambrosian Rite in Manila, which in itself is a legit variation of the Roman Rite and is allowed by Rome, how will RCAM's Liturgical Commission react? Sadly, it has absolutely NO REACTION at all into this Filipinized Mass that has no sanction of Rome.

Too bad, our reactions do not reach them, nor does Rome know about what is happening here.
