INC vs. Nazareno devotees

The recent INC Grand Evangelical Mission was able to muster a measly 600,000 in spite of the massive "fetching" of the INC.  They have paid buses to shuttle their members to the Luneta Grandstand. And remember, they are forced to attend which INC members love to call "show of unity".

This Grand Evangelical Mission is a rare occasion.

Compare it with this.

A yearly event, this is.  The Feast of the Black Nazarene.

And it gets getting bigger.  The last one, in January 9, 2012, had eight million devotees coming

Just comparing.

Well, all I can think of is that the Nazareno procession is free of charge.  No need to pay your tithes.  While the other one...you get the picture.

  1. I received an information, A FIRST HAND information from my coworker. He has friends who were actually "paid" by the INC to join the Tuesday event. 200p plus free food. Anyway, the INC of course would not call it bribe or payment. They will call it bonus or spiffs. w-h-a-t-e-v-e-r

  2. It is not a matter of tithes but the desire of people to touch the Christ that brought 8 M people to Luneta. The INC has no way to provide for that need. They claim to have the Word but forget that the Word was made flesh. Only the Catholic Church makes that into a reality.

  3. What are you trying to prove? The nation of Gode were chosen not because of their numbers.

"The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: 8But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt" - Deuteronomy 7:7-8

    1. Yes, agree. However the growth of a nation PROVES that God is with them right?

I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed. Genesis 26:4

So the verse that you quote is God's smack on the Israelites who merely prides themselves of being great in number. They started believing that hey our number is great so God must love us, they forgot that their number increased because God loved them first.

And getting a "large number" is of the goals of the apostles. Because if not, it's nonsense to report this verse in the New Testament.

They preached the good news in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch. Acts 14:21

So yes fdsafdsa, God may not choose a nation according to its number but he sure WANTS that number TO INCREASE once he had chosen it.

  4. Well, part of your wile is nitpicking a photo that shows only a portion of the crowd at the Grand Evangelical Mission. If you cannot avoid to compare, you have the obligation to be fair and find a photo showing the same view. The following report shows a fair comparison:

    "High Ridership

The Green Line of the state-owned and - operated Light Rail Transit (LRT) posted its highest ridership the other day, after the Grand Evangelical Mission of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) at Quirino Grandstand caused tremendous traffic in Manila.

LRT Authority Hernando Cabrera said the LRT Green Line, formerly LRT Line 1, posted its highest ridership at 658,627 last February 28. It broke the previous record during the Feast of the Black Nazarene with a ridership of 620,987 last Jan. 9.

Cabrera said that the LRTA decided to extend by an hour the operating schedule of the Green Line to accommodate INC members and other passengers who chose to ride the mass transit system than endure long hours of being stranded on the streets. (Kris Bayos)"

  5. So? We're all the riders of the LRT INC members?

Still you only got less than 1 million for your GRAND...whatever.

  6. And what about the riders of your nazarene. Are they all devotees of your god? Let's be fair.

    2. Yeah right, so thats the reason why i am stuck like a Pig on LRT that Tuesday Afternoon. Wow atleast the Feast of the Black Nazarene happens only Every Year and not the Grand Extortion Proclamation of yours, Arian Heretic. Those INC inside the Train has no manners, they are the most Noisiest People at the same time its Hot. Nakakapikon talaga sa totoo lang yan ba ang mga INC aber??? Mga walang modo at Heretiko pa :P

  7. It doesnt make any sense if we compare the LRT riders from GEM and the Feat of Black Nazarene. Is LRT the only transportation available?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Ay agree ako dito. Basically Nazareno devotees are mostly Manilenos. Most of them live in nearby areas so THEY DON'T NEED TO RIDE THE LRT. Plus walking is part of the NAZARENO TRADITION. And as I said, the Nazareno devotees are from nearby areas unlike the INC GEM who searched far and wide to find people to join them. Reminds me of a verse that Eli Soriano used to quote, I just forgot the verse exactly.
"You search the ends of the earth just to find someone to side with you. And when you had convinced them, you make them further sons of the devil."

  8. Well World Youth Day 1995 packed more than 5 M people in the Luneta. If you have a Pope, like JP II, it will be a real GEM, GIGA EVANGELICAL MISSION! Now that is the best since the Pope really got his authority from the Apostles!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Blame the blogger for he's the one who started this. I Agree that LRT is not the means of transportation. Do you happen to know that the parking of vehicles used during the GEM get as far as Cuneta Astrodome?

    2. Have you seen how many cars were not even parked in Roxas Boulevard because of World Youth Day?

Oh yeah, I forgot too. It was a holiday because almost all people were at Luneta.

  10. And why should I cry for your meaningless argument. Your post is about your fake nazarene god and now you're dragging the issue to WYD? Is that an admission of defeat?lolz

    1. No. The Holy Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church is in the business of winning souls. The Church has the assurances in St Matthew 16;18. Right from the start the Roman Catholic Church has won, is winning and in the End will be triumphant.

Which leads us to some important facts. First Jesus bar Joseph gave this promise to Peter in 32 AD or thereabouts. It wasn't private and thus was recorded in the Gospels. We know that Felix Ysagun Manalo went from Methodist to Presbyterian to Disciples of Christ to Adventist and later on shut himself in room and came out with a new religion in 1914! Now how can anyone be sure he has the true faith? Can Manalo show evidence that he personally received the faith from Jesus Christ in the flesh?

The Pope of Rome is a physical and spiritual link to Peter and thus to Christ in unbroken succession. Some Popes yes were sinful but that did not detract that he is a channel of God's grace. Thus it should not surprise anyone that the Pope can really come up with a GEM! GIGA EVANGELICAL MISSION!

  13. Uhm, sir fdafdsa, I hope you know the meaning of the idiom "cry your heart out"?
Anyway, I could clearly see you are singling out the "arguments" that you want to argue and jump to another if you can't argue it. And just in case you haven't read, it was Sir Ben who included the WYD NOT the blogger. And his inclusion MAKES SENSE. The blogger's premise is that a Catholic event, in this case the Nazareno Fiesta, could muster more people compared to an event made by the INC. And Sir Ben merely cited another Catholic event that was able to gather a crowd.
Ambilis namang magbitiw ng term na "meaningless argument".

  14. Meaningless because it's out of the topic. When you are in court trial, you will be charged irrelevant.

If he wanted to compare WYD to the GEM, why not create a separate blog post for that?

At any rate, we admit the fact that the catholics are more in numbers but as I have previously posted, that is not a guarantee
that you are God's chosen. Many are catholics because they are born and raised in that church.

I just appears to us that you are being alarmed to the progress of the Church of Christ despite the many persecutions we got from others.

    1. There you have it. You just admitted it. LOL!

What progress are you talking about?

Your membership is not even growing!

And how would you be saved if you believed in a rapist claiming to be an angel!

The University of Santo Tomas is older than the church of Manalo!

How can it be of the Lord Jesus when it preaches a different Gospel?

Poor INC members. You are saved because of your tithes?

    2. And as I have posted also, a large number is also an indication that God is in an organization. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD I even included a Bible verse to support that. Guess you are still not allowed to read the Bible huh?
Oh and we are not alarmed by the "progress" of your Church (if there is any). After all, wasn't it the Bible who says that during the end of days many will false prophets would arise and mislead the true Church. Your "progress" in converting some of our faithfuls is a clear indication that the prophecy is coming true.

Sir, I suggest you better read Catholic Church History to know the TRUE MEANING OF PERSECUTION.
I have a copy of your original Pandoktrina. My grandfather is a "good friend" of your Angel and he knows him very well... very very well. Your "cathecism" that is supposed to teach/introduce non-believers to your faith has huge chapters criticizing, even to the point of ridiculing, Catholic doctrines. Talking about persecution. Wow, I bet you have a different understanding of that word too.

Wasn't it you who started the topic regarding the relationship of "numbers" and "God's favor". REad the posts above. You were the first one to shift the topic, I think Sir Ben merely followed your line of reasoning. (well I might be wrong, I am not Sir Ben). And his arguments obviously fits. It makes sense, and it clearly smacks down your rantings.

  15. Quote: "What progress are you talking about?Your membership is not even growing!" Unquote

Our membership is not growing? The verse in Mark 4:12 is the exact fullfillment of your liking.

"That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them."

  16. The post below which was recently published by Telegraph Herald furthermore attests that the Iglesia Ni Cristo is growing while the catholic church is taking the opposite direction.

Iglesia ni Cristo Buys a Catholic Church and Brings It Back to Life

The formerly known Holy Rosary Catholic Church located in Iowa, USA was established in 1893 by the Catholic Church. 119 years ago, Catholic church leaders have used holy water around the sanctuary in order to do this, a common practice of Catholics during dedications.

And back to the present day, this same church has been dedicated again, but this time, by the Iglesia ni Cristo (Church of Christ) with tears of happiness and religious fervor during a 2-hour ceremony attended by 850 people that tripled Jackson County's population of 260.

Aside from the several dozens of residents of the county, most of the attendees in the church and 3 more overflow areas were members of the Iglesia ni Cristo from all over the country. They have all come to this dedication to see and hear our Executive Minister Brother Eduardo V Manalo.

It took 2 months to turn an old church that stood empty for 5 years and renovate its sanctuary. The renovation stripped away the stained glass windows, crosses and crucifixes and has improved its utilities through adding of crystal chandeliers and high-tech media systems to name a few. Local firms were hired by the church to do the renovation which includes a rich wood interior altar furnishing. The church bought the church building in June 2011 for $180,000 and has so far put $621,000 into it for the renovations.

[Picture above shows the exterior of the Iglesia Ni Cristo in La Motte, Iowa Wednesday.]

The brothers Mike and Gary Bonifas of the construction firm the church has hired to do the renovations said that the church members were "excellent" to work with, although the project was challenging.

"It was sad to see our church go, but doing this right like they did has given it back some of its glory," said Mike Bonifas.

"Sitting here empty, it was an ugly reminder of what was here, the social center of our town and our religion," added Gary Bonifas. "This is an overall plus for the community."

Buses from many states line the parking lot during the dedication although the actual membership of this new locale is only 22. The members expect growth in the next months and have been hoping to host regional events now that the church has finally been officially dedicated.

During the dedication, a 48-voice choir in white robes with sage-green trim marched in perfect step from the back to their seats in the front of the congregation. The hymns were rich and as these songs and prayers begin, the congregation were overcome by emotion, many quietly sobbing.

Beginning Wednesday, the towering church steeple was brightly lit at night, drawing attention to the highest point in La Motte. This is just one of the many churches dedicated in the past year.

"A palpable proof of (the church's) rapid growth and expansion is this house of worship now being dedicated to God here in La Motte, Iowa," said Brother Edward Maranan during an opening statement.

"I think people had reservations (about the new church) at first," said La Motte Mayor Paul Konrady, who attended the dedication, "But as a whole, they are pleased now. This brings this building back to life."

The Iglesia ni Cristo has "evangelical footholds" in 90 countries on 6 continents and counts its members in the millions.

  17. The INC photo (above) was taken from the ROOF of MANILA HOTEL BLDG., while the Feast of Black Nazarene PHOTO was taken ONLY from the ROOF of Quirino Grandstand - it was closed to the crowd! Definitely, there's a deception here!

Granting that there were 8,000,000 attendees of the said Feast as per Organizers claim. The Catholic population here in P.I. is "81%" of the total populace of the Country - 92,681,453, which amounts to "75,071,977" Catholics. - Meaning, there were ONLY around "10%" Catholics ATTENDED in the Jan.09 Black Nazarene. Wew! :(

FYI, the INC GEMs were HELD in "21 BIG" Venues NATIONWIDE! The fact is

    ROMAN CATHOLICS STILL OUTNUMBER INC's
we compose 87% percent of the archipelago, maybe even the whole world

    compared to you

You just compose a minor 2.3%

    SINONG MAS LAMANG NGAYON???

YOUR SECT MAY LAST A CENTURY, BUT IT CAN'T LAST A THOUSAND YEARS

    ROMAN CATHOLICISM-2000+ years and counting
    IGLESIA NI MANALO-98 years only
