The John Paul II Catechetics and Youth Ministry Conference organizers are happy to inform you that Pope John Paul II will be beatified on May 1, 2011 in Rome… a step closer to sainthood.

With this great news, we would like to invite you to the 7th John Paul II Catechetics and Youth Ministry Conference scheduled on May 18 – 20, 2011 to coincide with Pope John Paul II’s birthday. The venue will be at the Don Bosco Technical Institute Makati.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Youth and Family: Urgent Focus of Today’s Catechesis and Youth Ministry” in line with the 30th year commemoration of Pope John Paul II’s Familiaris Consortio and the United Nations and Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines’ declaration of 2010-2011 as the Year of the Youth.

The John Paul II Catechetics and Youth Ministry Conference is a gathering of catechists, religious educators, youth ministers and campus ministers from the Philippines and other Asian countries. It is a three-day experience of prayer, study, skills training and fellowship. It is an expression of the Salesians continuing commitment to the work of evangelization in our country.
