Solemn High Mass in the presence of the Diocesan Bishop
I received these wonderful updates on my Facebook account about the Solemn High Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Mark Sese on the occasion of his second sacerdotal ordination last May 1, Feast of St. Joseph the Worker, at the High Altar of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral of Pasig.
Rev. Fr. Elijah Lim, OFMConv. and Rev. Fr. Jojo Zerrudo served as deacon and sub-deacon of the Mass.
As you can see in the photos below, Most. Rev. Mylo Hubert Vergara, DD, is seated on his cathedra.
I heard that the Mass was well attended.
Excellent photos can be found in the Una Voce Philippines and Acolythorum Fraternitas Sanctae Crucis blogs.
Congratulations and ad multos annos to Fr. Mark Sese!
Congratulations to the TLM Pasig Group for organizing the Solemn High Mass.
And kudos also goes to His Excellency, Bishop Vergara for attending and supporting the Solemn High Mass!
We hope to see more TLM celebrated in the High Altar of the Cathedral.
Maybe a Solemn Pontifical Mass soon? :)

I really wish my bishop would celebrate a Latin Mass.
ReplyDeleteIn the spirit of Vatican II, the Pasig church removed the altar rails. Now that they have the Old Mass, can't the Pasig church bring back the altar rail?
ReplyDeleteThe Altar Rails are still there Bro. Ben, as you can see in the first picture.
ReplyDeletePlease correct your entry "Rev. Fr. Elijah Lim, OFMConv. and Rev. Fr. Jojo Zerrudo served as deacon and sub-deacon of the Mass."
ReplyDeleteFr. Elijah's family name is "PANTORILLA" not "LIM"
Thanks
