If you cannot keep up with your penitence, get back in the box and approach Jesus there. He is waiting!

I went to Santo Domingo Church today. Was quite disappointed, there was an hourly mass, but there was no priest in the confession box. And during the mass that I attended there were a lot of people who received communion. Hmmmm. Well anyway the thing that really disturbed me, is that after the Deo Gratias the whole congregation clapped their hands! Uhm Ash Wednesday starts the penitential season right? What's with the clapping?
