THEN WHY NOT HAVE CHURCHES BE BUILT IN SAUDI ARABIA, MORE PARTICULARLY IN MECCA? OR LET PEOPLE OF OTHER FAITHS PRACTICE THEIR RELIGION FREELY IN ISLAMIC COUNTRIES?

Only the sane mind of Israel's greatest military commander General Moshe Dayan, stopped the insanity and he ordered the army on pain of death that the ISLAMIC MOSQUE be respected.
You see this INSANITY is not a monopoly of MUSLIMS but JEWS and ROMAN CATHOLICS too!

Some Christians plan to burn the Holy Quran. Now how is this different from people burning the Holy Bible be that they are Muslims or not or the Nazis burning the Torah?
It is abhorrent for Muslims to burn the Holy Book of the Christians!
Now to answer your question why there is no Christian church in Mecca. This city is holy space to Islam. Let it remain so like Vatican Hill is holy space to Catholics. As for Saudi Arabia, the idea of building churches on its territories can be discussed with the King. The Vatican is already in the process of doing this and it is likely that the first churches will be built.
As for the mosque near Ground Zero, as long as you can prove that NO innocent MUSLIM died in 9/11 attacks, they I will concede that a mosque cannot be built. But Muslims did die. They deserve a space of prayer on this holy ground. Death as result of terrorism is not a only Christian martyrium. It is a martyrium of each and every person who worships the Divine. You and me included.
And the Christians have conveniently forgotten that!
