The 16th century version that the CBCP ordered to be used, in obedience to the new English translation of the Roman Missal, is the same version that Lutherans are using, the same translation used in the Book of Common Prayers!
"But TPC, what has this got to do with the Liturgy Expert?"
What you ask?
HE IS AN HONORARY LUTHERAN AND HE DOES NOT WANT THE "OUR FATHER" LUTHERANS ARE USING?!?!
And I thought he was for an ecumenical liturgy?!?!
Just in case you forget:
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not to temptation but deliver us from evil.
