The Neocatechumenal Way Cult Series 3

Carmen Hernandez, a former member of the Misioneras de Cristo Jesus,  is one of the founders of the Neo Cult, together with Kiko and Archbishop Annibale Bugnini.

Sa katunayan, silang tatlo ang naka-isip na pangalanganan ang grupo na Neocatechumenal Way.

It was her who made the following statements recorded in a book entitled Il neocatecumenato. Un’iniziazione cristiana per adulti
It is understandable why Luther emerged, making a clean break with everything he believed was a purely human addition or tradition . . .

Luther, who never doubted the real presence of Christ in the eucharist, rejected 'transubstantiation,' because it was bound to the Aristotelian-Thomistic concept of substance, which is foreign to the Church of the apostles and the Fathers . . .

The rigidity and fixity of the Council of Trent generated a static mentality in the liturgy, which has persisted to our day, quick to be scandalized by any change or transformation. And this is an error, because the liturgy is life, a reality of the Spirit living among men. For this reason, it can never be bottled up . .
Sa madaling salita, ayon kay Carmen TAMA SI LUTHER SA PAG-AAKLAS LABAN SA SIMBAHAN.

This is not a question on the Old Missal vs. the New Missal. That is a moot and academic discussion. Both Missals are valid and accepted.

It is rather a question of a The Way co-founder saying that Luther - an excommunicated priest, just like Marcel Lefebvre, was right, and had every right, to rebel against a true and valid council.

Manny Pacquiao, Bible Champion?

Uhm....why not?!

From this website.

***

Manny Pacquiao might get his chance to knock out Floyd Mayweather, but apparently religious leaders in the Philippines would rather him go toe-to-toe with Tim Tebow.

"Tim Tebow became very popular by promoting the word of God," Bishop Pablo Virgilio David, who presides over the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines' (CBCP) bible ministry, told Agence France-Presse. "Some have referred to Manny Pacquiao as the Tim Tebow of the Philippines."

Church leaders asked Pacquiao become a "Bible ambassador" to help promote reading of the Bible of among Catholics. [Read.  Don't make your own interpretation.  Better yet, just read the day's Mass readings.]  The boxing superstar regularly credits God for helping him succeed, and wears a rosary around his neck before and after his fights, according to the AFP.  [And goes directly to the Black Nazarene Basilica in Quiapo to hear Mass after his arrival from his fight abroad.]

In mid-January, Pacquiao told a TV station in the Philippines that he decided to renew his faith [in the Catholic Church] and had given up vices such as gambling and womanizing following an "encounter with God" during a dream.  [I have been reading reports that Manny has become a born-again Christian after a series of Bible studies with a born-again preacher.  I doubt this conversion story.  So treat it as a rumor.  As to the Bible studies, priests who maybe close to him or even Catholics who know the danger of having a Born-Again pastor preach to Pacquaio better advise him to receive the Bible study from a Catholic lay preacher or a Catholic priest.]

AFP reports that during the dream, Pacquiao found himself deep inside a forest, where a voice from a shining bright light asked Pacquiao why he was going away from Him.

"I woke up crying. I remember I was crying in my dream and when I touched my pillow, it was wet," Pacquiao said. "If I had died last year or in the last two years, I'm sure I would have gone straight to hell. My faith in Him was there, 100 per cent, but behind it, after prayers, I would still do evil things."

Although Pacquiao, 32, spends more time studying the Bible these days, he didn't agree to team up with the Catholic Church in the Philippines.  [Interesting.]

"We asked him to partner with us in promoting the reading of the Bible among Catholics," Bishop David told reporters. "We told him: 'You would be a big help to us brother Manny', but he has not pledged his partnership yet."

Former Manila Mayor Lito Atienza is a close friend of Pacquiao.  Atienza is Catholic, so anyone here who knows the former mayor better tell him to tell Manny to stay away from the heretic pastor.

Here is a video of the "Bible sharing" of Pacquiao.

WORD OF CAUTION:

IF YOU WANT TO STUDY THE BIBLE AND STILL REMAIN CATHOLIC, TAKE IT FROM A CATHOLIC PRIEST, OK?

Will you go to a veterinarian if you are complaining of a very bad headache?

Good grief!

These nasty pastors only preach and want to "save" those who have the big bucks.  Shows what they are really saving, eh?

The Prayer of Jabez?

I have heard about this a long time ago.  It is heavily promoted in the "Prosperity Gospel" circles, as it can bring you, uhm, prosperity and riches.  Sounds like a magic incantation to me.

Well, here is the prayer.

If you ask me, why have that when you can have this!

Makes me wonder why these Born-Again Christians keep on promoting the other prayer when this one was taught to us none other than the Lord Himself!

Never heard these supposedly Bible believing Christians promote the Lord's Prayer.

Episcopalians sought to honor Pelagius

Oh and Pelagius is a heretic, by the way.

***

R11-7
Contributions of Pelagius

Whereas the historical record of Pelagius’s contribution to our theological tradition is shrouded in the political ambition of his theological antagonists who sought to discredit what they felt was a threat to the empire, and their ecclesiastical dominance, [Ever heard of the term "It is a way for the all-male Vatican leadership who hides in their palaces to dominate us who work with the poor and the oppressed!  They are not as PASTORAL as us!" -  Yup, this is it.]  and whereas an understanding of his life and writings might bring more to bear on his good standing in our tradition, and whereas his restitution as a viable theological voice within our tradition might encourage a deeper understanding of sin, grace, free will, and the goodness of God’s creation, [Because Pelagius taught that man does not need Divine Grace to do good works.  Yup that'll enrich the dying Epsicopalian Church!]  and whereas in as much as the history of Pelagius represents to some the struggle for theological exploration that is our birthright as Anglicans, [like women ordination, homosexual "marriage"... keep on exploring.  You'll find more in hell.] Be it resolved, that this 105th Annual Council of the Diocese of Atlanta appoint a committee of discernment overseen by our Bishop, to consider these matters as a means to honor the contributions of Pelagius and reclaim his voice in our tradition And be it further resolved that this committee will report their conclusions at the next Annual Council.

Submitted by the Rev. Benno D. Pattison, Rector, the Church of the Epiphany

To our Episcopalian Brothers, there is Anglicanorum coetibus.

Presbyterian Church ordains first openly homosexual man to presbyterate

Yup. They followed the trend of the Episcopalian Church. And boy, (no pun intended.) are they happily shrinking in numbers! And most of those disenchanted are crossing the Tiber!

The man, Scott Anderson, 56, said he waited 40 years for the moment...the moment they made the laws of God their own whim?  Right MST?  That is the way you wanted it right?

Ain't that the most appropriate color for a stole?  RAINBOW BRITE!  He waited 40 years to wear that.

The report says:
"The denomination barred homosexuals from serving as ministers until May 10, 2011, when a majority of its regional organizations known as presbyteries voted to ratify the national assembly’s proposal to remove clergy requirements of marital fidelity or single chastity."
So, any philanderer and sodomite can be their presbyter?

Ok, I am not saying that ALL Catholic priests are without fault but by golly, if a married man is openly cavorting with another woman other than his wife, that is a different story! What happened to what Christ taught in the Gospel?!

Well, we had Anglicanorum coetibus. What's next Prebyterorum coetibus? :D

Read more here and here.

Dissidents are pissed

The liturgical dissident blog Pray Tell of that cry baby Benedictine has posted this report about reactions to Universae Ecclesiae

***

The German Bishops’ Conference declared that the Instruction contains “no fundamental innovations”; [uhm, it does.] furthermore, interest in the old Mass in Germany is slim. [sure about it?  If then, why not have one EF Mass at every parish and have every priest and seminarian get a training.] The secretary of the German Bishops’ Conference, Hans Langendörfer, emphasized that the document would have no great effect upon church practice. At the present time, the old Mass is celebrated in only 128 places in Germany out of 11,383 parishes.  [yeah, right.  Then why be troubled?]

Professor Helmut Hoping of the University of Freiburg praised the new document. Much is clarified that was previously unclear. He expects that the old form of the Mass will now be celebrated more frequently in those 150 places where it has been celebrated up until now.  [Precisely!  Priests are afraid to openly celebrate the EF Mass because their bishops are silently dissenting against the pope and have their sights against the traddies.]

Benedikt Kranemann, chairman of the Association of Catholic Liturgists, (Arbeitsgemeinschaft katholischer Liturgiewissenschaftler), lamented that the criticism from bishops’ conferences and theologians of the introduction of two parallel forms of the liturgy was “not taken into account at all.” [Yes it was.  You were just not reading it or you do not care at all.]  The document misses the real problems of the church in Germany. “What is really important to the majority of people doesn’t even appear in this discussion.”  [Uhm.  Wrong topic!  On second thought, it really does!  Returning the sense of the sacred?  Ring a bell?]

The traditionalist Society of St. Pius the X greeted the paper: Benedict has placed “necessary reins on the arbitrary suppression” of the rules by many bishops. [Which I agree.  Remember what the Archdiocese of Manila did for blatantly regulating the implementation of Summorum Pontificum?]

Bishop Friedrich Weber, delegate for Catholic affairs of the Lutheran Church in Germany, expressed criticism. From the evangelical Lutheran viewpoint, [as if it matters!  Remember that these heretics despise the EF Mass because this very Mass expresses what they do not believe in!]  comprehensibility is an essential criterion. When the liturgy is incomprehensible, it become nothing but an external performance and no longer fulfills the urgent requirement of engaged participation.  [Speaking like the honorary Lutheran I know.  Ha!  And the "comprehensible", like what we suffered for the last 40 years was not an "external performance and fulfills the urgent requirement of engaged participation"!  No wonder a lot of great saints were nourished by THAT incomprehensible liturgy and it did not engage them.  Really?  Puh-leaazzze!]

After UE, next work for the pope I guess is to clean up the mess these dissidents.

No not their mess.

The dissidents themselves.

First example is that neck tie wearing Australian pro women's ordination, general absolution bishop.

It is a sign that dissidents will be treated the way they are supposed to be treated!

The Pill is an Abortifacient!

So those RH supporters who say that there isn't anything about abortion in the Bill, go whack your head!

The supporters behind the RH Bill are ravenous wolves!

They are after the death of your children and cash in their pockets. Period!

Thanks to Lorenz for the tip!

God help us defend life!

How the evil of contraception and abortion started...

That is why the thorn on the pro-life movement is the support of those who are AGAINST abortion but are supportive of artificial contraception.

It is downright ironic, stupid and hypocritical!

And they call themselves BIBLE CHRISTIANS!

Damn you Martin Luther for starting this all!

And you stupid "bishop"!

Shut the hell up or you'll end in hell!
