Sadly these franciscans probably dont realize how far they have deviated from St. Francis liturgical and eucharistic piety. At least i hope its not deliberate.
ReplyDeletePLEASE REMOVED THESE PHOTOS. An inquiry was conducted. The retreat master who belongs to a different group of Franciscans took a sit (reasons not known) and instructed the student friars to partake of the bread and wine. They hesitated we were told but followed as told.
ReplyDeleteAgain we do not know what is reason of the celebrant, a medical condition? Dizziness? Laziness? As far as the friars are concern, the concerned friars were reminded,corrected and reprimanded.
THIS IS NOT A STANDARD... REGULAR PRACTICE OF CONVENTUAL FRANCISCANS IN THE PHILIPPINES.
