The Church had undergone a renovation during the 90s and the design of the altar, it's interiors and the church itself was patterned after the Parish Church of Sta. Rita de Cascia at PhilAmLife Village, QC, where at that time was the seat of the District Bishop of the Ecclesiastical District of QC-South when the territoty was still part of the Archdiocese of Manila prior to the establishment of the Diocese of Cubao with the See at the Immaculate Concepcion Catedral. The designer of this churches is an acclaimed lay ecclesiastical architect with a Pro Ecclesia award given by the late H.E. +Jaime Card. Sin, D.D., who approved all church projects conforming to "If the local Ordinary agrees to its location away from the altar, the place should be truly worthy and prominent, so that the tabernacle is readily visible and is not hidden by the priest during the celebration of the Mass. In a word, the location should make it possible for the tabernacle to serve unmistakably as a sign and to give a sense of the savior's presence in the midst of his people. ReplyDeleteIsn't that a deacon at the right? He's supposed to be seated beside the main celebrant, right?
ReplyDeleteyes. the deacon should assist the celebrant plus there is no MC so he really needs to help. Well as you can see on the picture the deacon acts like a concelebrant and not doing his funcitons.
