I both use moral arguments based on our Faith and "secular" arguments based on the science, economics, statistics...etc. Arguments based on legal grounds are also useful.

For our battle, it is useful to use all the "truths" that we could get even that "truth" was discovered and confirmed using Science. The truth came from God and it could come from various sources.Ishmael F. FACT 1:...Some points to add and for clarification:

FACT 1: The Roman Catholic Church never was anti-science. She will always champion scientific research as long as this respects human dignity.

The Roman Church gave birth to Modern Science. Without her and her universities and the fact that she allowed wide latitude in scientific research during the Medieval period, shows how indebted secularists and all of us to the Roman Church.

The so called Catholic "persecution" of scientists like Galileo happened right after the Reformation. Protestants were even more willing to burn scientists without a trial more than the Catholic Church. That's why Lutherans like Johannes Kepler had to seek Catholic patrons.

The present Pope Benedict XVI after considering the scientific studies on genetically modified food concluded that it was OK to eat GMOs since we have to answer the problem of chronic hunger. The secular environmentalists (who defend a religion without the logical thoroughness of the Catholic Church) were livid.

If pro lifers have to defend the faith, they should not discredit science!

FACT 2: The Vatican is only the territory on which the Holy See resides. Ambassadors are accredited to the Holy See and not the Vatican. The Holy See is the one who sends nuncios and not the Vatican.

FACT 3: The Nuncio is only dean of the diplomatic corps in countries with a Catholic history, even if these countries are now majority Protestant, like Switzerland. In the secular USA, the dean of the diplomatic corps is the most senior ambassador according to date of posting. He/she may or may not be the Apostolic NuncioBen Vallejohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02963290696331676531noreply@blogger.com
