WE WANT MORE PINOY SAINTS!

Almost 500 years of Catholicism and we only have two saints?  This scarcity of Pinoy saints is not because we do not have enough holy people.

It is because our archive handling, an important part of the saint factory, is B.S.

Take for example the duplicity of Mother Francisca del Espiritu Santo and Mother Ignacia del Espiritu Santo.

To me, they are one and the same person.  The archives are full of accounts of Mother Francisca, while Mother Ignacia's grave could not even be found!

If we want more Pinoy Saints, we need to PRAY MORE.

  1. I would like to address your comment regarding Mother Ignacia while it is true that no grave was found neither Mother Francisca's ! The two personalities are totally different; Mother Ignacia was a Filipina while Mother Francisca was a Spanish Creole (Spanish born in the Philippines). Mother Francisca's community was ONLY for Spanish women intact the first 15 Beatas were all of Spanish blood! Mother Ignacia's community was for the natives ! Mother Ignacia wrote the Rules and Constitutions of her community and submitted it for church approval on July 1, 1726. The original was found in the Archive of Seville Spain in 1959. Mother Francisca did not write the rules of her community. It was Father Juan de Sto. Domingo who formulated it.
