    Just some thoughts...I am not sure if it still would be proper to address the Bishop of Rome Emeritus as YOUR HOLINESS - for the reason that he no longer holds the Holy Office that Christ bequeathed to Peter and his successors. In fact we address a POPE as his Holiness , not because he already has attained to holy stature to the mold of Christ - infact like you and me, he daily struggles with his sinful human nature while availing of the saving acts entrusted to the Church. We address him as YOUR HOLINESS or Santita because he holds that Holy Office of Peter, hence his seat is called Santa Sede or Holy See.

    May the Lord keep the Pope Emeritus healthy for more years...
