FR. MARIO!

Stop the dancing at Mass!

It is forbidden!

  1. Would also probably have a stronger impact if (the fictitious) Mayor Lim said "Hoy! Simbahan 'to...hindi BALLROOM!!!"

    Or "...DISCO!!!"

  4. Since I heard the word dancing I have a question. How about clapping? Like clapping after the mass (Novus Ordo)? Is clapping acceptable and is it considered a liturgical abuse or error?

Anyway, it may be strange to some of you but in my parish people claps their hands right after the mass. Hehehe.

    1. Clapping after the Mass is a No No as well. What does the clap mean? Praise the Lord?! Since when did the clap mean "to praise the Lord"? Are you happy that Mass is over so you clap your hand?

This is one stupid thing that priests do to people: asking them to clap their hands for the Lord after the Mass.

By golly, you just finished praising the Lord through the best way possible, the MASS!

What is there to clap for?

Even in Rome, people are asked to stop clapping!

    2. Just as I expected that clapping is a no no hehehe. I don't really know why people clap after the mass (probably they are happy the mass is over or they praise the lord to clap.. i don't know haha). Don't you notice that also in your parish or nobody is clapping after the mass?

Whenever I attend the holy sacrifice of the mass in the extra ordinary form there's no clapping. So I thought, there shouldn't be clapping also in the Novus Ordo pero wala eh iyon ang ginagawa ng mga tao sa parish namin. *cringe*.

      Anyway, thanks for the clarification!
