The Little Flower

Without love, deeds, even the most brilliant, count as nothing.

Be not afraid to tell Jesus that you love Him; even though it be without feeling, this is the way to oblige Him to help you, and carry you like a little child too feeble to walk.

A novice was grieving about her numerous distractions during prayer:
"I too, have many," replied St. Therese of the Child Jesus, "but I accept all for love of the good God,
even the most extravagent thoughts that come into my head."

***
I found a highly detailed blog post about the life and times of St. Therese and photos of her childhood home, her tomb, even the original casket where she was buried and the vestments used during her beatification/canonization including the original banner that was draped over the loggia of St. Peter's during her canonization.

  1. Happy feastday to you, Sir 'TPC!'

Just arrived home from Mass at Carmel of St. Therese in New Manila and included you and your family in my prayers.
