Pinay Nuns in Rome!

I guess by their habits..the ones in black are Benedictines and the one in brown is a Poor Clare.

We need more Pinoy nuns...in veils and less in the streets...PLEASE!

Your habits are a silent witness of your consecration to your Groom!

Mabuhay sisters!  God bless you that you remain faithful to your religious vows!

  1. Indeed. If only our priests would remain wearing that habit (sutana) in public that they may keep their identity even in public.

The problem is that we never knew if this man in the club is a Catholic priest or not.

We pray that priests' identity should remain even in public.

  2. Yes, that is indeed true. One way to "lessen" or end the sex abuse scandal among the clergy is to revive the use of the clerical dress. It is very sad to see priests, and even bishops, dress like street "drunkards" (even though some are).

I think the nuns pictured above are not Benedictines. They are all Poor Clares. They have their Franciscan belt (cord). The belt of the Benedictines is leather, if I'm not mistaken.
