"Credo, ergo ego sum!" A Filipino Catholic's frank commentary on anything that affects his life as a citizen of the Philippines and as a Roman Catholic.
I don't think the Pope or future popes will use the Tiara. Besides it no longer provides powerful witness about the Pope's role as servant, our servant and the Lord's. I don't want to see Benedict wearing the tiara. The Pallium is enough to show his primacy.Benedict won't wear the the Tiara since his Episcopal arms as Pope no longer has it (all popes till JP II had it). We see the bishop's mitre as a crest in his coat of arms and this signifies that he is a bishop first before anything else and that his primacy over the Universal Church stems from the fact that he is Bishop of Rome.
